  Chapter 24: I’m Ready

  Source: Journal

  Name: Mark Boggs

Silvia placed a pair of Jackers on my head. They felt like an old friend. I never thought I would see the day that I missed the feeling of them resting upon my face. “I hacked your account and gave you a max level warrior with the strongest armor I have acquired over the years,” Silvia said while rubbing her hand down the center of my chest.

I pushed the red button on my rod, flames shot out around my body and in an instant I was covered with a molten red lava plate mail. It dripped off my arms and feet igniting the ground with fire every step I took. My right arm transformed into an enormous cannon resembling Mega Man from the old Nintendo game. “Any melee based strikes will deal fifty percent damage back to the attacker. When using your arm cannon just point and shoot. It has a heat seeking function that can’t miss. Follow me close and I’ll protect you,” she said smiling and then pressed her own rod.

Slick oily black armor with streaks of pearl whites rose up her body twirling around her breasts in a Princess Leia fashion. Her character wielded a battle wand, a long metallic staff with sapphires on both ends, which she slammed into the earth.

My lips were upon hers before I had the chance to resist my body’s primal urge. She didn’t pull back, her body laid into mine, melting into my arms. When I was finally able to pull away, she smiled up at me, “Looks like someone likes my armor.”

A barrage of embarrassment flooded my senses. “I’m sorry I...”

Silvia cut me off by placing her hand back on my chest, “It’s ok... Thank you. I needed that.” My arms loosened and released her from my grip letting her stand on her own again.

The army was preparing and Silvia was on her way back to talk with Bell, “I want you to stay here with these two men. They are going to take you to a safe place and watch over you.” She nodded to two enormous muscle men, and they took Bell by the arms and began to walk away.

I had been so caught up in the moment that I had completely forgotten about Sally. She hung behind my back leg, hanging on it for protection. “Silvia,” I called out. “Could Sally go with them?” Bell turned around with her hand out open palmed before Silvia could even react, saying, “Sally this way.”

I bent down and kissed Sally on the cheek. “Daddy, you are going to war?” she asked in a sweet voice.

“Fake war, and Silvia gave me this armor to protect me. It will keep your daddy safe. Go with Bell and I will see you as soon as all this is over.” She kissed me and then her little legs carried her over to grip Bell’s open hand. I turned away so that I wouldn’t have to see her leave.

Silvia rubbed my shoulder gently and said, “She’ll be safe with them. I promise.” I forced out a smile to appease her. Focusing on the war at hand calmed my nerves. “You ready,” Silvia said. I nodded and walked to the entrance of the park.
