I Was Made In America

  By; Chad Johnson

  Copyright 2012 CHAD JOHNSON

Dedication: This poem book is about the hardships most of us ( the 99%) have been going through the last 10 years, while the fat cats get fatter. I really hope that you enjoy this book.

  Underemployed 99%:

While most of us are underemployed.

The 1% is getting rich like they are on a steroid.

They sit -N- drink wine because they are overjoyed.

This has got something to do with Sigmund Freud.

The 1% is overcompensating with money and power.

All because they have a very small trouser flower.

Ladies see this; they look like they had something sour.

But me, I have something the size of the Eiffel tower.

  I am the 99%.

  ************

  The dark tunnel:

My future feels like a dark tunnel.

I feel like I’m being shoved through a funnel.

I feel like I’m running out of breath living in the Chunnel.

  I am scared as hell.

I just wish I could run like a gazelle.

  I just wish.

I had food to put on a dish.

  ************

  The hour glass:

I feel like I am running out of time.

I don’t even have one dime.

I’m so nervous my hands feel like slime.

Oh please let me get my life back.

I don’t wanna move out with just one backpack.

Please world, can you just listen to me?

I’ll be right back I got to pee!

  ************

  When will we learn?

  Oh when will we learn?

We all act like we are still using an old time butter churn!

Let’s move our knowledge into the future.

And act like a doctor using a surgical suture.

So this world will stop bleeding!

There are so many people needing.

All the millionaires and billionaires need to stop their inbreeding!

  ************

  The next superstar:

While I sit here jobless and idle.

I wonder if I can be the next American Idol.

I think to myself, am I becoming homicidal?

I watch these talentless people perform.

I sit back and think this is worse than cheap amateur porn.

When will I get my turn in this crappy job market?

I want to drive my car to your place and park it.

I have no gas at the moment.

Hell I may end up being homeless!

As long as I wake up breathing.

I can scream like a new born teething!

GIVE ME A CHANCE AT THIS!!

  BECAUSE I GOT THIS!!

  ************

  Arrogant:

The next time you talk about how great you are.

I am going to shove your face into that steel bar.

You are nowhere close to a superstar.

Which in your mind may sound bizarre.

But the truth of the matter.

We are all tired of your chatter.

  ************

  Sinking like a rock:

Some days my hopes are sinking like a heavy rock.

I will stand at the end of the dock.

While I look at the time on my clock.

Then I look back at the shore.

Thinking should I go home n make money galore?

  Or should I jump in?

Even though I do not know how to swim.

NO! I need to sing a good hymn.

  Because life ain’t that dim.

  ************

  On the outside looking in:

What have I gotten myself into?

  On the outside looking in.

It looks like a game I can win.

Once I'm there I think I'm in a loony bin.

All the workers act like they're related to their kin.

I need to get my life together.

I'm tired of feeling like the bottom of shoe leather.

I want money so I can live in beach weather.

Someday I will be in like flint.

I hope this book never goes out of print.

  ************

  I'm not with it:

Some days I'm in a fog.

I act silly like a prairie dog.

Or I get tense like a razorback hog.

Let me sit down and think things out.

That way I can get some clout.

That's when I walk with my chest out.

This is the end of a money drought.

  ************

What is wrong with this world:

All things seam to be out of control.

All the jobs have gone into a black hole.

The money has turned into a dust bowl.

Only the select few are wet with money.

After a few more drinks with honey.

They may find out their life ain’t that sunny.

They better learn to treat people right.

Because their evil ways will come to light.

  ************

I wanna make my own rules:

I would love to make my own rules.

The only 1's that do that are political fools.

  They shut down schools.

Act like drunks on bar stools.

All because they have too much control.

The people need to slow the political role.

Or better yet, flush Washington down the toilet bowl.

  ROCK-N-ROLL.

  ************

  Harder and harder:

  Life never gets easier.

The economy is sick with a fever.

Jobs have been hacked with a meat cleaver.

Rich been catching profits like wide receivers.

The hardships have got to disappear.

Then the 99% can scream and cheer.

Let's hope the 99% have a great financial year.

  ************

  When? When? When:

All I hear is,” it will get better”.

But when will I get that “love letter”?

It's gotten so bad, only phone calls are from the debtor.

If I was the wage setter.

Everyone would get a perfect “love letter”.

Let's all work to make this world better.

  ************

  I was made in America:

In 1965 I was made in America.

In 1966 I was born in America.

  Corporations are Anti-America.

Look at all of the jobs out of America.

Yet they say they create jobs for America.

Rich man come look at real America.

  Drive through unemployed Mid-America.

Only humans are made in America.

  ************

  Trying to make a living:

  Trying to make money.

So I can put food in my family’s tummy.

Every time I get close to money, it jumps like a bunny.

One day I will get a net.

So I catch that bunny and get out of debt.

I am trying to make a living.

That way I too can have a Thanksgiving.

  I am tired of starving.

Because I am not MR. Marvin.

  ************

How do you sleep at night?

You scream “class warfare” all the time.

Yet you think layoffs are a victimless crime.

You layoff people, just to make another dime.

You should be in jail for human rights crime.

  The only jobs
out there are part-time.

How do you sleep at night?

You lock your house up like you got stage fright.

You must have a heart the size of an insect bite.

How do you sleep at night?

  ************

  Stand strong:

Don't let the people at the top push you around.

They are only trying to cut you down.

  They have no one around.

So they try to pull your spirit down.

Bring them to your part of town.

Then let's see how fast they turn their ways around.

  Don't you dare fall down.

Next time you can be the class clown.

When they try to stare you down.

  ************

  Who benefits:

Who makes out like a bandit when times are tough?

We need to call their bluff.

  The fat lazy cream puffs.

The rich are making off of those who are buff.

You see we do all the hard work.

While you sit behind a desk acting like a jerk.

Taking away all of our perks.

We the workers turn our backs and just smirk.

We will put you in the sewer so you see how it works.

  ************

  You're a dog:

Being called a dog is not bad.

For one my name is CHAD.

Dogs love you no matter if you're mad.

Dogs are by your side even if you cut off their nads.

So a dog is a good thing from my view.

Because dogs see the good, even if you're blue.

That's a dog’s job, to stand by you.

So I'm a dog, because I love you.

  My name is CHAD.

  Being a dog ain’t bad.

  ************

  The American dream:

The dream is for all to have a chance.

We all want to go to the prom dance.

But most are so poor, we are in a trance.

The American dream has turned into a nightmare.

The 1% act like they don't care.

  They say life ain't fare.

They are right; they had it made since the potty chair.

Things been handed to the rich, even health care.

The 99% is trying to get that American dream fare.

  ************

  GREED KILLS:

Just look at all the overdose pills.

  GREED KILLS.

Look at the wealth in the hills.

  GREED KILLS.

Look at the high priced bills.

  GREED KILLS.

Look at all of the oil spills.

  GREED KILLS.

Look at what's come of the Black Hills.

  GREED KILLS.

Look at who lives in Beverly Hills.

  GREED KILLS.

The lack of jobs has left America so ill.

  GREED KILLS.

Fat man eating off all the grills

  GREED KILLS.

  GREED KILLS.

  ************

  BULLIES:

  Don't be pushed around.

Give the bullies your beat down.

Have pride and don't lie on the ground.

Give their ego a chop down.

  You are better then that.

Use your knowledge like a baseball bat.

Swing so hard they run like a scary cat.

  About the author.

Hello, if you got this far then that means you read the poems I wrote. I really hope you like them. My name is Chad Johnson and I am very underemployed right now. Yes I do work and I make less then unemployed workers on unemployment. I am divorced and a father of a teenage daughter. I am trying to get to the point that I do not get buyers remorse when I buy a can of soup. I wish that all people on this planet would have the same chance as the 1%. I hope that everyone helps others and the greed and anger stops. Good attitudes are the best to have, and I know one day my life will get better.
