We live in a world of the intellectual justification.

By succumbing to his intellect, the most important tool God provided man to facilitate him on his wanderings on Earth, he managed to turn it into a tool for his annihilation. He ignored his spirit, and so the intellect became a curse that eventually is going to bring his downfall, and his demise.

In order to fathom the mischief man brought to himself and his environment by willingly submitting to his intellect, we have to analyse what an intellectual really is. But first let us see how a spiritual person is, or rather the difference between a spiritual and an intellectual.

A spiritual person has a deep inner feeling, a deep inner sense; he ‘feels’ things in the most natural way. The interaction between the spirit and his intellect is cooperating harmoniously. He uses his spirit and his intellect in a balanced way, so we don’t have to call him a spiritual one, but a balanced one.

The spiritual, or rather the balanced person, doesn’t need to read, to learn, or to study hard in order to understand something. He ‘sees’ the big picture. He sees the forest. He observes and automatically understands. If he meets a stranger, he ‘feels’ the intension of the man opposite him. If he is in a board meeting, he strives for what is good for the whole, and not just for the company. If he is in a meeting concerning the defence of his country, his concern will be how to defend it, and not how to annihilate his opponents. When he reads a book or a newspaper, he ‘reads’ behind the lines, he ‘feels’ the essence of the story, and if he watches television or a movie, he is very selective, for if it is something that does not harmonize with his inner core, it becomes unbearable to him.

A non-spiritual, that is an intellectual person, willingly disharmonises the cooperation between the brain and the spirit. Since he uses mainly his brain, and ignores the spirit, he becomes a one-sided person, hence, an unbalanced one.

So, the intellectual, or the unbalanced one, becomes an analyst. In order to understand things, he needs hard facts; demanding hard studies to come to a conclusion. He needs to read and learn; he does not see the painting, but the strokes that make it. He sees the tree, but not the forest. He is so much engrossed with his intellect, that whenever spiritual matters appear on his path, he brushes them off quickly as useless, humbug, nonsense, for he is incapable of understanding spiritual matters anymore.

The intellectuals have the advantage on this Earth over the spiritual ones as this drama unfolds on their turf, namely the world of matter. Needless to say they have the upper hand, so we have reached the point now where the intellectuals run this Earth totally.

No matter how absurd anything may feel, no matter how ridiculous an idea may sound, no matter how ludicrous it may appear, you can be assured that the intellectuals will trip over to adopt it. The more incongruous, the more illogical, or the more bizarre, the most likely it is to be adopted by them, for the intellectuals have lost the sense of balance and of equilibrium. They have lost the sense of grasping the laws that penetrate the world. In short, the intellectuals that run this world are crippled invalid people. They are incapable of perceiving right from wrong anymore, for they can only look at the tree in front of them. They are so proud that they can analyse it and tell you the history, the composition, and in which family it belongs, but at the same time, they are unaware that it obstructs their view of the forest.

The intellectual feels that the rest of the world should listen to him for he knows better. They have to listen, for he didn’t spend the best years of his life in a college, studying for nothing. In a sense, he is right, for he understands that he is on the zenith of his capabilities concerning intellectual matters. He is on a wave crest so high, that the rest beneath him look insignificant, and nobody, absolutely nobody, can challenge him. That is what he knows best.

What he does not know is that he is only a one-sided personality, and that he looks at the world from the wrong side of his binoculars. He is like an aeroplane that cannot possibly take off, for he relies on one wing only, the intellectual one, ignoring the spiritual one. He does not know that the inner core of man is spirit, and someone that uses his spirit as it should be used, i.e. to cooperate fully with the brain in order to form a base for the two to form a harmonious co-existence, is going the right way.

Man’s intellect should be his best friend. Intellect is the tool God-given to man, in order to facilitate him on Earth.

When the intellect cooperates with the spirit, man fully realises his potential as a human being. If a man relies on his intellect only, he is like a ship without radar; without maps, without destination.

As the intellectuals govern the Earth, no wonder life became so technologically oriented and thus, cold and uninspired. That is because technology is the product of the intellect, which is ephemeral; today it is, and tomorrow it is gone.

The products of the spirit, such as art or heroism, are full of life, inspiring forever new, and permeating through the ages

That is why the majority of activities on this Earth are wrong and unsustainable; that is why the collapse and the destruction of anything perceived and thought by intellectuals are unavoidable.

In order for a human being to be balanced, the intellect and the spirit should cooperate on equal terms. It is for the spirit to inspire, to guide, and to aim for the real goal of his life, and for the intellect to execute, to tackle the daily problems arising for survival through the subtle guidance he gets from the spirit. He should be diligent enough to hear the warnings from the imminent dangers that surround him on his path. As to why many people find it hard to repudiate the charges and the slogans used by the intellectuals in every issue and confrontation that affects us right now, this is because the intellectuals have the upper hand. It is their time, because they have reached the zenith of their capabilities. It is because the battle is taken on their turf, in the material world, and they are masters in it.

Because man relies on his intellect, and the intellect is material, he understands only material. Anything beyond that, the intellect cannot grasp. The intellectuals actually have a tunnel vision; they cannot perceive spherically. Right now their intellects are in their highest peak, in the zenith of their performing ability. They assume they have their right to impose their will upon the others, because they think they know better. Now if they are confronted with something they don’t understand, the only thing they can do is to despise the person opposite them, mocking them, and making gestures indicating that they know better. But man must not despair, for the answer will come from within. Everything that has been devised by the intellectuals will collapse in front of their eyes. The first signs are already here; the signs are visible now. The intellectuals already are losing their glitter and their prestige and soon, very soon, they will run for cover.

Already the slogan that took the world by a storm a few decades ago, “mind over mater” which really is nothing other than: intellect over mater has lost its glitter, and individuals that took various questionable courses with the belief, that they will chance the world and themselves, gave up in an endless “merry-go-round’ dishearten and exhausted.

As you read these lines, many things may make sense to you until a voice tells you (here is the intervention of the intellect), that all these are fantasies and nothing is factually verified.

The mistake many people here make is that they mistake this impression as that of their spirit, but it is not so. Here, the intellect intervenes demanding that everything must be based on facts, for the intellect is
capable only of understanding facts. Anything else, he discards, for the intellect is incapable of understanding anything ethereal, or spiritual. So we have this phenomenon, that although you may find it fascinating, interesting, and even logical, when the intellect intervenes, it tells you to find everything unworthy, to put them in the backburner, until they fade into a haze, into a faded and forgotten memory.

The peculiarity with the intellectuals is that they think they are miles ahead of the rest.

They cannot hear this small inner voice anymore that warns them at once of what is right and what is wrong. They have lost this ability, and now the intellect has taken over, and justifies it no matter how absurd it may be. And we haven’t seen anything yet; this absurdity is going to reach gigantic proportions, so much so, that men will raise their hands in despair. It will feel as though they have immersed themselves in a gigantic labyrinth with no exit. The confusion is going to be such that they are going to give up in despair. I tell you the days of the intellectuals are numbered; already the confusion has started. This is not a prediction, it is happening now, and these people want to change the world, as long as the
