WELCOME:
Thank you for choosing Time Rocks. I hope you will enjoy reading it. I am grateful to pupils and teachers in the English Dept. of St Laurence’s School, Bradford on Avon, Wiltshire, who were kind enough to read and critique my manuscript.
Time Rocks: Young Jack Shire is blasted into a terrifying prehistoric world, simultaneously unveiling a deadly, 21st century secret, when an archaeological dig at Stonehenge turns into a nightmare. Communicating across the millennia, he and girlfriend Tori Morris, are pitted against sinister forces when they uncover a megalomaniac's plot to control the world using stolen time travel technology.
Time Rocks: is my first attempt at sci-fi for teenage and adult readers. I especially hope young adults will like it. Please let me know what you think of it – good or bad. I greatly value readers’ feedback. Writing is great fun, but being read is the coolest thing of all.

Chapter One
No need for the torch. Stonehenge’s monoliths glittered against a black sky. A full moon laid down deep shadows like giant piano keys. Billions of stars twinkled. The hairs on the back of my neck tingled as I crept through the stone circle into the cathedral-like horseshoe of massive trilithons.
I stumbled on the hummocky turf and dropped my rucksack. As I grabbed to recover it the strange gizmo spilled out. It was crackling and fizzing like caged lightning. Its dim LED had transformed into a blinding blue-white beam. I had to shield my eyes.
That was when it happened. I couldn’t believe it. The moon was fading. The sky was changing from star jewelled night to pale, wintry grey. Then, the most amazing thing - my stomach flips when I think of it - the monolithic sarsen stones faded and vanished.
