Lexa opened her eyes and was met with Eryx’s gaze. He smiled and held out his hands. “You did it.”
She just looked at the ground and put the knife on the table. She knew her hands were shaking, but she tried to keep it under control. “Now you can bring Grant back,” she said without looking up.
“Soon, we have to finish the ritual,” Eryx said watching her.
“What ritual?”
“The one that binds us together.”Eryx took a step towards her. “Now that you have proven your worth, we can do the next step.”
“What happens after?” Lexa finally raised her gaze.
“Then We will bring Grant back,” Eryx said running a hand down her cheek. “We will have the power.”
