As a poor farmer from the Leru region once said,” Why should I care about death when mine will be unsung, without celebration, and cheered by numerous enemies. No, I only think about this plow I’m pulling that harvests my crops and pulls me closer to death. That’s my gift for breathing and my reason for getting up tomorrow. My, won’t that sun laugh as I chase it out of bed and it burns my skin red. Yeah, I’m all broken up about dying, so put that blade in my back and deep.”
The Goag people from the coastline of the Bloodlet believed in this saying wholeheartedly and many had it written on the walls of their bedrooms inside golden cases. They also believed that when the last good man dies, they’ll only be a single gasp as they are left to fight over a destroyed and barren world.
As Doerain’s ship flew towards Mobed the sun was beginning to set and large green flashes shot out from it as a purple smoke seeped out of the ground. The skyline of Mobed was massive with hundreds of thousands of small and large round towers and castles that spread out for 100 miles. Each of which were a different color and had massive trolls on top that could spring into action in a second if commanded, that were 500 feet tall and red skinned. The castle in the center of Mobed was shaped like a pie crust with a Bulbous statue of Siex Goad in the center that depicted him holding a golden staff in one hand and a bright red glowing ball of flames in the other.
Siex Goad was the leader of the Goag people and was a member of the Deboted council. The Deboted were a secretive sort who refused to spend more than 4 days with people of other races due to their belief that only they deserved each other’s company. They also believed in getting away with murder literally, as they plotted and carried out dozens of murders each year of wealthy people by violent means, but made each death look like an accident. For example they poked a hole in a King’s fuel line then as he rode past one of them and didn’t wave back, they threw a large red cigarette under his ship and it caught the fuel line blowing the ship and the king to pieces.
“ So that’s Mobed, looks like a good place to bunk down for awhile,” said Ohgood as he eyed the green and purple flashes of light shooting out of the building every few seconds.
“ Naha, a great place to bunk down. I’m exhausted and in dire need of warm bed and cold pillow. And maybe a large meal and a hundred hours of bad jokes while people tell me how great I am,” said Ratie jokingly as she smirked and looked over at Ohgood.
“ So the usual,” said Famaron flatly as he grinned and glanced over at Ratie as he drove.
“ What, the usual is a 20 course meal and 12 hours of Ratie praise. This isn’t even close!” said Ratie sarcastically as she stomped her foot and sucked in her cheeks and everyone laughed.
“ We’re nearing the city be ready to act. The leader of the Goag is Siex Goad a real nasty ruler who can be a lot to handle if he’s angered,” said Epam as he floated above the floor while he lay on his back with his hands behind his head.
“ So we’ll anger him, let’s face it he’s gonna snap at some point anyway. I’m gonna beat him to the punch,” said Ohgood jokingly in an old man’s shaky voice as he punched the air over Epam and looked down sternly at him while he laughed.
“ Yes, Ohgood, that is, exactly what I was thinking,” said Mench slyly as she tried not to laugh and looked at Ohgood.
“ What are you reading my mind I think she’s a spy let’s do her in. Wait…she can’t be a spy I’m a spy as well let’s kill her anyway,” said Ohgood sarcastically as he put his hand to his head and then ran over and grabbed Mench around the waist and pretended to be squeezing her to death while she laughed.
“ Boy is that a beautiful sight. I always wanted to see the sun turn green, but never like this,” said Famaron as he stared at Mobed in awe.
“ That’s the type of thing you’ll tell your children of,” said Harci as he looked at all the ships encircling the city and felt a chill go down his back.
Then Famaron turned to Harci with a slight smile and said warmly,” And they’ll never believe it.”
Secretly Famaron knew that Harci was trying to relax him and calm his fears.
“ Kids, what are you crazy, you wanna clean up baby poops off the floor all day. No way I’m raisin baby dragons at least you can get ‘em to pee sitting down,” said Ratie jokingly as she gave Famaron a gentle shove and grinned at Harci while he could only smile.
Then they flew into the center of Mobed and an escort of 30 Konno’s flanked them on either side and guided them in. They landed on a large landing pad near the top of tower 3. It was black marble and had a 5 inch thick black rug with the image of Siex Goad sewn onto it in gold thread. There were 3 other Meheluxs parked there and a massive tinted black hand shaped doorway into the castle that had hundreds of thousands of tiny bright white and gold lights littered around it. There was the head of Siex made from solid gold and platinum above the door. The song,” Why is love the air I breath,” by the Dying Breeds was playing thru the loudspeakers which was a thunderous rock song.
The Dying Breeds were a group of 3 surgeons who gave up their practices and set out for musical stardom. After spending the first day as a group they wrote 13 songs and recorded them that day. The following day the album was stolen by a pack of thieves who were after their equipment. They fled and as they did threw the CD out the window and it landed at the feet of a radio disc jockey who was waiting for a bus. He went to work and listened to it on the way. He liked it so much he played it in its entirety on his radio show the same day it was stolen. 15 seconds into the first song the phone lines lit up and it was a smash hit. Then they inked a record deal an hour later as they had written their phone number on the jacket of the CD and they were able to call them.
Everyone exited the ship and looked out over the city as the sun disappeared. Then Siex Goad walked up to them and asked warmly,” It’s magnificent isn’t it?”
Siex Goad was 6’6” and 245 pounds of sculpted muscle with a massive barrel chest and huge biceps. His hands and feet were very large and he was missing his pinky finger on his left hand. He had seal black hair that was shinny and went just to the nape of his neck in the back and to his eyes in the front. He had a large sloping forehead and a thin round nose that was very handsome. He also had purple eyes with green daggers thru them. He had on a tan cashmere sweater that showed the center of his chest and a pair of black dress pants. He also had on tan and white slippers with rubber soles and the words,” I can’t help it I’m the best,” written along the sides.
Mench turned and saw Siex and felt instant warmth in her crotch and was flustered, but said nervously,” Ah, yes it’s lovely.”
“ Who might you be?” asked Ohgood smoothly as he squinted at Siex.
“ Siex Goad, I rule over all you see. Which one of you is Famaron?” asked Siex as he looked longingly at Mench and Ratie who smiled back at him.
“ I am he, and this is Mench, Epam, Ratie, Ohgood, Solcrist, and Harci the one with a true gift,” said Famaron honestly as he pointed to each of them.
“ Fascinating, a gift for what exactly?” asked Siex wryly as he furrowed his brow.
“ For finding the answers to questions that haven’t been asked. It’s nice to meet you, Siex,” said Harci as he bowed to Siex.
“ Then you are a holy man true?” asked Siex as he thought of asking Harci for advice about his prayers.
“ I am indeed, and if you need help understanding the world’s mysteries I’d love to guide you in the right direction. The journey thou will be yours and yours alone, Siex,” said Harci warmly as he motioned with his hands gently.
“ Yes, this is what I need. Let us head inside and I’ll show you to your suites then we will sleep and talk more in the morning, yes,” said Siex happily as he reached out his right hand and then turned and walked towards the doors.
Everyone
followed close behind and as they neared, the giant doors broke into 12 pieces and floated up and out. Then everyone walked in and they floated back into place and an orange seal could be seen on the inside of the doors. They made their way thru the foyer of the castle and up to the top level via a dragon shaped blue and green elevator that used anti-gravity. Once there they opened the doors and there could be seen a mini castle that was 55,000 square feet and had 70 rooms including a massive living room as you walked in. The room had 21 cushioned red antique chairs along the walls facing either in at the holographic TV or out a window sill that looked over the Bloodlet and all the large fish swimming on the surface of it. There were 4 air jets around the room that brought up meals from the kitchen after you
made your selection on a touch screen. There was also a trio of art rooms in the living room filled with Interstellar surrealistic paintings by the likes of Jatous Bushli.
Jatous Bushli was a humble farmer’s son when he happened upon the book, Dream and live,” by Hengred Coobu and the passage,” However long a man lives ordinary there is always an artistic geyser just below the surface that someday will no longer be contained. And when this eruption of the creative self rockets towards the surface, then the humble man can grab said destiny and never again be lost to the chores of ordinary life.” When Jatous read this he felt a rush of purpose fill his body and he took his father’s house paint from the barn and began painting a purple landscape he’d never seen before that had a race of beings known as the Peoms living and working in his painting. Many years later he happened upon that very spot and the Peoms and nearly died of shock. Then he realized many of his other paintings were actual people and places.
“ This is a wondrous place, Siex, I love the golden high ceiling in this room,” said Ohgood as he looked up at the 35 foot ceiling in awe and walked thru the living room.
“ I appreciate that, Ohgood, let me show you something, are you a movie buff?” asked Siex as he walked over to the holographic TV.
“ We all are in fact,” said Ohgood happily as he looked around.
Then Siex started the film,” I died from sleep, and then said proudly,” This is the film I starred in last year. Let me know what you think of the start.”
“ Of course, I had no idea you were an actor,” said Ohgood as he hoped it was good so he wouldn’t have to lie.
Then a massive green planet appeared in front of them with 3 dozen large black battleships flying into its orbit. The voice of Siex began to narrate,” When I thought of war as a child I thought of glory. Now having won and lost so many I only think of loss. 50 of my closest friends died aboard this very ship. None of which had any thoughts of glory when we were overrun and boarded by the Gad army. Now I only think of death and its capture as reality sets in.”
Then the ships landed on the green planet of Carsten. Then a red liquid smoke engulfed the ships and the Gad army came running out of the ships gasping for breath. Siex walked out of the galley and outside the ship in shock at what he saw and had no trouble breathing. He watched as the Gad keeled over and died by the thousands in a massive flower garden that stretched for 100 miles in every direction and had dozens of 6 story green castles dotted throughout. Siex saw his chance and ran from the Gad and ran deep into the garden jumping over dead Gad soldiers as he did. Then he ran up a stone driveway and past several red marble statues of a Sarg on either side. He stopped at the front door to a castle and glanced over his shoulder and saw the devastation then opened the door and ran inside. Inside there were faceless mirrors that would only show your body and no head, all over the room. There were also floating couches and chairs around a large picture window that faced a pool area. Siex saw this and asked quickly,” Is this better or worse?”
“ Is what better or worse? And why are you in my home?” asked Bunst Belli as she walked thru a holographic door and up to Siex.
Bunst had blonde long curly hair and ocean blue eyes. She also had large dimples in her cheeks and a smooth button nose that gave her a warm appearance. She was 5’9” and had a thin curvy figure. She had on black silk pants and a white and red swirling cashmere sweater, as well as a golden necklace around her neck with the words,” I went crazy for you,” engraved on it.
“ Ah…is my circumstance better now or was it with the Gad soldiers. And I’m in your home, because I’m hiding from them. Now, my name is Porsep and I can go if you want, but I’d rather stay as my life depends on that very thing. May I please stay, I’m begging you?” asked Siex as he looked at Bunst nervously as he feared she’d ask him to leave and he knew what that meant and it could be the end of him for sure.
Bunst looked at him for a second then said flatly,” You can stay, but you have to laugh at my jokes as I hate people who refuse to laugh as a power play. Now I’m, Bunst and this is my home if you’re hungry I just made lunch. Why don’t you have a seat and I’ll get you some,” said Bunst then she smiled and extended her hand hoping Siex would kiss her.
Siex grabbed her hand and kissed it and said warmly,” Thank you, Bunst, I would love a bite to eat.”
Then the front door flung open and in burst a Gad soldier bleeding from the mouth named Raca. He glared at Siex and then shouted,” You’ve gotten nowhere, Porsep, but closer to death! I knew your day would come,” said Raca snidely then he raised his green laser pistol and aimed it at Siex while his arm shook.
Then as he went to squeeze the trigger Bunst pressed a button on the wall and a hole opened in the roof and an air jet shot Raca 500 feet into the air and he then fell to the ground and landed awkwardly on a statue and died.
“ That was so nice of you, Bunst. But what was it you did?” asked Siex as he looked her in eye and she grinned and giggled.
“ I use that shoot to get all the dust off my entryway floors whenever we have a dust storm. It’s also good for unwanted guests, as he was one of many who learned to fly without wings. Now, you were hungry, I’ll be right back,” said Bunst warmly then she walked thru a holographic door.
“ This is awesome, Siex, I love this movie did it win any awards?” asked Ohgood honestly as he put his hand to his chin.
“ Yes, and thank you we were able to win best picture for a 3 year span at the Areon awards, which is very prestigious. And I also won the best actor for this film as well. Why don’t we head over to your suites and I can show you the award on the way,” said Siex implying a question in a soft voice as he smiled slightly.
“ Of course, we’d love to see it. I’d also like to see more of that film we were watching,” said Famaron eagerly as he smirked and Siex motioned for them to walk.
“ Yes we can do that in the morning. I’ll have it pick up where it left off. Now your suites are thru this secret passageway here,” said Siex then he walked up to a painting of Parscan by Jatous and pressed in on the right side and the wall collapsed inward revealing a black dimly lit 70 foot hallway with 10 red and brown round doors 5 per side that had glowing red door handles shaped like gargoyles heads. The floor was covered in a brown leathery surface with 1 foot wide round green area rugs every 2 feet. The walls were dark blue and had phrases like,” Forgive all but one when life comes undone. Then kill every betrayer who dares call you friend or life comes to an end,” as well as,” I was god’s friend all of my days, until he asked for my life in exchange for days of pure satisfaction. Then I decided upon years of endless female attraction and he gave me a smile and said, can’t blame me for tryin’.”
Famaron saw the painting of Parscan and asked in disbelief,” Siex, where did you get this painting of our home world? I thought it was not well known here?”
“ I never been to that world or met someone who has. That was painted by Jatous, he is a living prophet of sorts I am stunned that this is your home world. Is that also you in the painting in the bottom corner?” asked Siex as he looked at
Famaron anxiously and pointed to the person perched atop a mountain.
Everyone looked at the painting and Ohgood saw that it was him in the painting and he nearly fainted, but was caught by Mench and she asked frantically,” What is wrong, Ohgood?”
“ It’s me in the painting, how is that possible?” asked Ohgood in disbelief as he stared at his grinning face in the painting and then said quietly,” I don’t recognize myself, but I can remember this I just don’t know when it was. But how would this painter ever have seen me here I was on top of a mountain?” asked Ohgood nervously as he scratched his neck.
“ That’s the weirdest thing I’ve ever seen. And if I weren’t so tired I’d continue to marvel at it. That said Ratie needs to get some sleepytime and quick,” said Ratie as she yawned and walked into the hallway past Ohgood.
Then everyone followed her and Ohgood let out a sigh and said softly,” Well let the weird times roll and roll some more.”
Then as everyone walked down the hall suddenly all the doors swung inward and Mench asked in a concerned tone,” Are you alright, Ohgood?”
“ Yeah, but shakin’ a bit. Thanks for asking,” said Ohgood as he walked beside Mench.
“ These suites are all completely available to anyone who wants them. So take whichever you like. Now in the morning there will be a meeting to discuss our plan of attack against the Sorplecs. The word we’ve gotten is they haven’t found where we are hiding as of yet, but that could change at any moment.
I’ll be back to rouse you from your beds tomorrow morning and I will have a stun gun, sleep well,” said Siex then he smiled and vanished from view thru a secret passageway in the floor in a puff of blue smoke.
“ He has a thing for being dramatic wouldn’t ya say?” asked Ratie as she grinned and rubbed her forehead and bent at the waist dramatically then said in a goofy voice,” will anyone marry me my life depends on it, heellppp!”
Then everyone laughed and Solcrist said slyly,” Only if you wait on me hand and foot and never do that again.”
“ Well, what a great bit of romance you’re giving me. I almost want to punch your face in, in a loving manner. Hey let’s get hitched,” said Ratie then she dramatically moved her head rapidly from side to side and stuck out her teeth.
“ Well I’ve had enough excitement for one day I’m hitting it goodnight everyone,” said Famaron as he walked into a suite and waved.
“ As have I, goodnight all,” said Solcrist as he went into a suite and Epam and Harci each took their own suites as well.
Then Ratie danced into hers and laughed as she did. Ohgood and Mench stood there for a second and then Mench asked sharply,” So is it sex or what, Ohgood?”
Ohgood looked over with a smirk on his face and then said,” Yeah, we might as well who else would have us. C’mon gorgeous,” said Ohgood as he wrapped his arms around her and then French kissed her.
“ I’d have me, but I know me really well. So which suite should we take?” asked Mench as she looked up at Ohgood.
“ Ah,” said Ohgood as he looked at the one in front of them and then turned around and looked at the one behind and said quickly,” this one here smells lees of Sarg droppings, let’s try it out.”
“ That’s not the room it’s me, too much cheese I’m sorry,” said Mench jokingly as she rubbed Ohgood’s chest and grinned.
“ I had a feeling, but I didn’t want to say anything. Anyway let’s take a gander,” said Ohgood as he squeezed Mench’s butt and purred like a kitten and she laughed and grabbed his crotch.
“ Well take a gander alright. I can feel good things already, very good whoo,” said Mench as she stroked Ohgood’s crotch.
Then they entered the room and they saw a pair of mahogany dressers that were made to look like dragons doing battle with each other by shooting fire from their mouths. The dressers were 15 feet high and were connected over a 20 foot wide black marble bed against the left wall that had thick black blankets and a white mattress and white silken pillows. There was a massive circular window and deck to the left that bowed outward like a ball and it had a golden engraving of the passage from Gieds prophecy that read,” A blackness of soul will be followed by a black cloud of dust gripping all the world as the tyranny of man is ripped from the many dead. Then the war of all wars will begin with the righteous army of men and woman finding their greatest destruction. The evil and self glorifying many will be reduced to few and then none. Then those left will be given the greatest knowledge of everything from God himself. Then the errors of the past will never be repeated as the world becomes a place for true love and love of the absolute truths in us all.” On the right side of the room there were 3 large dark brown head shaped bookcases filled with books including Gieds complete prophecy in a red leather bound 5 inch thick book. Behind the bookcases were a secret kitchen and dining room that were accessible only if you removed a book thus opening a passageway too them. On the left side of the bookcases were a large marble bathroom with a shower, tub, and hot tub. The walls of the room had soft fur from a baby
dragon’s first 3 weeks of life that was very coveted and sought after. The ceiling had a large triangular skylight that was 35 feet up and the moons could visibly be seen thru.
“ Well, Menchy, let’s have a goodtime, but tomorrow I’m gonna stick it to you without reservation,” said Ohgood then Mench pulled off her top.
“ Just shut the door,” said Mench sternly as she undressed.
“ This I like,” said Ohgood then he slammed the door shut.
They made love all night long and broke the bedspring. Then as they slept in the morning green sunlight with Mench’s head on Ohgood’s chest suddenly they were awoken by a knock on the window. Ohgood slowly opened his eyes as he raised his hand to block the sunlight and saw Siex standing there in full Goag military regalia, that included a dozen gold, silver, and diamond knives across his chest, as well as a burgundy satin robe and a white cotton undershirt. He also had on dark brown rubber boots with a thick cushioned cloth inside then that engulfed the feet. He also had on dark green sunglasses and had a white staff in his hands with a blue glowing trio of Darpocks flying around the tip that were 3 inches long.
Ohgood stood up and started for the window, then he realized he was naked and he covered his unmentionables with his hands then scurried for a pair of black silk pants and a red shirt that read,” When I laughed, I was serious,” written across the front in turquoise letters. He hurried over to the window and searched for a handle then Siex pointed to a black triangular button and Ohgood pressed it and the window folded to the left creating a doorway.
“ What’s happened, Siex?” asked Ohgood anxiously as he tucked in his shirt.
“ We’ve been found out by the Sorplecs. They’ve surrounded us, Ohgood, I’ve already told Famaron and the rest and they are in my ship the Croul. You need to wake Mench and grab your things,” said Siex as he stood with his chest out.
“ Of course, but where’s the ship?” asked Ohgood as he looked around and saw nothing.
“ Where isn’t it,” said Siex flatly then he pressed a black button on a remote control and a 1000 yard high and half mile long green and silver battleship appeared.
The ship was smooth and rounded and had 2 long football shaped pieces on the bottom that were attached to a rounded pyramid shaped portion on top that had 12 massive laser canons and dense magic canons on all sides of it. There were 2 dozen 100 yard long Gussy missiles on the bottom section that had heat seeking technology, but when they drew near a target they shattered and 50 smaller missiles shot out filled with precast spells that could do any number of things from changing a ship’s form or filling it with blood thirsty beasts. On top of the ship there was a 900 foot high head of Siex that had a 6 ton laser canon in each eye. It also had beneath it a circular row of escape pods th
at could carry its pilots for over 30 light years and have all the necessary supplies and gold coins, diamonds, and emeralds.
“ Ah…yeah good point I’ll get my things,” said Ohgood then as he turned he saw Mench talking in her sleep.
“ Ah Ohgood you’re the best I’ve ever had let’s keep going I want more,” said Mench as she slept and hugged the pillow.
“ What about her?” asked Siex as he looked at Mench as she French kissed the pillow.
“ Ah, Mench, wake up you’re embarrassing me!” said Ohgood loudly as he grinned and Mench said,” Ohgood give me the sweet meat.”
Mench started to wake up and then crinkled her nose and asked,” Why do you have clothes on, Ohgood?”
“ Because it’s morning and we have to get on Siex’s battleship before the Sorplecs get here. So go ahead and throw some clothes on already,” said Ohgood as he smiled while one of Mench’s large breasts were exposed.
Mench looked down and saw this and covered it up and then let out a sigh and said flatly,” I don’t care if you see me naked, Siex, or you, Ohgood.”
Then she stood up and walked across the room with her head held high and grabbed her lavender dress and slipped it on. Then she put on a pair of black satin pants and a pair of tan sneakers and looked over and smiled and said,” Well now that I’m dressed, it’s off to a bad case of war. But not without these,” said Mench as she grabbed her and Ohgood’s staffs and then walked over to Ohgood and handed them to him and winked.
Ohgood smiled and said slyly,” We’ll save the flirty gestures for later, Menchy, we’ve got business to attend to.”
“ Of course,” said Mench coyly then she patted Ohgood hard on the butt and smiled and then said slyly,” I couldn’t resist that glorious ass, my lovely.”
“ You couldn’t resist last night either which is why I can’t sit down right now,” said Ohgood slyly as he slapped Mench’s butt hard.
“ Could we, go now, there’s a war and all?” asked Siex anxiously as he tried not to laugh and grimaced with his hands behind his back while he swayed forward and back on the soles of his feet.
“ Oh right, war and all let’s hit it and not my butt, Mench,” said Ohgood then they hurried out the window and as they did a multi colored landing extended outward and they walked across it.
There were 2 large black marble doors that slid into the walls as they approached and then they entered.
Inside there was a dark green leather couch with a built in foot rest right in front of them that was floating above the floor on a cushion of white light. The walls were dark brown mahogany and were round and dotted with paintings of Mrath Isdu that showed him glaring at a gargoyle and shooting a stream of fire from his eyes with actual flames shooting from one painting to the next.
Mrath Isdu is a wizard and general who disappeared 3 years prior. Mrath was credited with filling the Bloodlet with its current red waters, after a woman made fun of his dark red hair. Before he died he began shouting random paragraphs like,” The evil of the passive aggressive revenge filled man has corrupted us all. He should be killed in great numbers until he is no more! The woman who loathes the soft spoken brutally honest man should also be killed in even larger numbers as it destroys any hope of a peaceful society! It is these 2 types of person that have besieged us from the dawn of technology and can be blamed for every act of violence ever committed!” He also set about creating a hidden society that would live in and amongst the bringers of evil, as he called them, and aid one another with certain words and body signals like a sigh if someone was about to get angry and be corrupted. And also a loud horn or laser blast if they felt a member, known as Gohre’s were getting too cocky to snap them out of it. They also passed messages to one another via numbers and short phrases like 3 for yes and da for yes and 5 for larger yes and 2 for no way. These signals as well as many others also allowed them to speak to god and fallen members and helped them thru their days and to make the right decisions.
