The Deveo’s first ruler and patriarch Abern Copru told a story at his coronation that went as follows,” A young girl named Fano found a rock on a grassy hill and carried it the 6 miles back to her home. The rock was blood red and covered in a finer outer shell that could be wiped away over time. She thought the rock lucky so she rubbed it several times daily. Before long she had worn away 3 inches of the rock and started to see a purple diamond in its center. So then she rubbed it even more in the hopes of seeing the entire stone. After a few weeks she had rubbed away all of the red stone and had a half pound smooth purple diamond. Then she set about cleaning off a thin of cow’s spit that had been put on it centuries earlier. Once she had she saw a wondrous sight as inside the diamond was a miniature civilization, with spaceships and tiny people going about their daily lives. She stared at the people in anger and threw the stone against her steel front door shattering it into a million pieces and destroying the civilization forever. She did this my friends then never believed in luck again as well as for another more important reason. There is only one world that matters and should be allowed to thrive and this is Permea. When there are men and women who would seek to corrupt us we only tell them the truth, get out of our lives and get back into your torturous hearts. Cause we won’t allow a person who’d laugh at our jokes and destroy our happiness at the same time, to ever sit at our table.

Meanwhile the Croul was nearing the planet of Lada, but needed to refuel first. Everyone was inside the Lazy lounge which was a vast 600 yard long part living room part bar part entertainment area, except for Rinship, Orbay, Burnrih, and Epam.

The Lazy Lounge had 3 lowered pillow covered pits with stairs leading out of them that had a holographic video games in the center that you could play with a joystick. There was a full music sound system built into the carpeted floor that only cast sound to the people in each pit. The pillows in the pit were multi- colored paisley design and had a silk and cashmere covering each of them. The pits had chairs built into each of their 3 layers as so you could sit in total comfort. There was also a food and beverage machine built into the area between each chair that were voice activated and had a host of hot meals and cold drinks to choose from like a soda pop called Whorea, that tasted like Dr. Pepper only a bit better.

The bar area in the room was along large plasma window that faced out into space. It was 50 feet wide and 30 feet long and showed a small blue planet surrounded by 10 large moons known as Andrupia. The bar area was floating above the floor on a cast spell by Siex that gave it a perpetual floor of warm air that held your foot up and surrounded your toes like a liquid would. The bar itself was shaped like a sea shell and had 10 black recliners around it with tiny statues of Siex made from every metal know to man littered all over it. There was a touch operated ordering system that raised your drinks up to you out of the mahogany counter. The walls of the Lazy Lounge were covered in a symbiotic 2 inch breed of life form called Butsers.

Butsers were covered in a cat like orange fur and had light blue vacant eyes. Their heads were half the size of their bodies and they had short arms and legs. The Butsers would latch onto a person’s skin and release a soothing neurotoxin that caused a person’s brain to work at twice its normal efficiency.

Everyone was sitting at the bottom level of the left Lazy Lounge pit watching Ohgood and Harci battle the final monster in the epic quest game Zulgu. The point of the game was to search for dozens of weapons in and around this giant expanse of cities and wooded areas in the hopes of destroying the person eating demon known as Gorgranis, who was an 18 story high man with a red hairy chest and a short buzzed head of red hair. He carried with him a large metal fork with 6 prongs and would just jab it into a person if he was hungry. He lived in a massive towering castle that sat in between 2 five mile high mountains that was dark brown in color called Emptno castle.

“ Well, Harci, we’ve made it this far now all’s we have to do is defeat Gorgranis and we’ll get to see the movie,” Cofis and You,” which after weeks of playing this game it’d better be good,” said Ohgood as his character Zulgu entered the throne room of Gorgranis beside Harci’s wood nymph character Ole Brown Gug.

Cofis and You was a science fiction movie about an evil scientist who clones himself repeatedly. Then his cloned children are given accelerated growth spurts and grow to full size in only a month. Then he has them marry and impregnate as many women as possible, as he is trying to create an entire race for him to rule over. He also uses a self made serum to retard the aging process for himself. After 10 years of his cloning pyramid scheme he has over 350,000 soldiers and another 2 million offspring of his clones. He then declares himself king and supreme ruler of the land where his clones live. Then after they’ve gone out into the world and brought him back untold wealth he decides to take over the world. Then he sets about taking over his home planet Kena.

“ You’re right, Ohgood, if that movie isn’t good I’ll be more than disappointed. But don’t worry I’ll only blame it on you,” said Harci jokingly as he smiled over at Ohgood.

“ Thanks, thanks for that you really put my mind at ease,” said Ohgood sarcastically in a soft voice and then said slyly,” you know you can fall on a blunt object, Harci, anytime you want and I won’t tell a soul,

I mean it, you been good to me. Now let’s kill us some Gorgranis and quick!” said Ohgood excitedly as he moved his character Zulgu around a marble pillar and saw no sign of Gorgranis then Harci followed close behind and shot out his telepathic man of clay in front of Ole Brown Gug.

The man of clay burst into 50 pieces. Then the pieces turned into green bats with laser orange eyes. The bats flew off in every direction to see if they could find Gorgranis.

“ Nice move, Harci, I hadn’t thought of that. I can’t understand why he’s hiding in here,” said Ohgood then Zulgu fell thru a holographic floor panel as did Ole Brown Gug into a dimly lit staircase that went straight down into solid blackness and then Ohgood smiled slightly and said quietly,” I didn’t see that one coming. So should we take these stairs or double back?” asked Ohgood as he swung his giant 4 sided magic covered white mallet and waited for Harci.

“ I say let’s check it out. Maybe he’s down there or at the very least we’ll find an elixir beer so I can replenish my power cell,” said Harci as he recalled his clay man and gently poked Zulgu with his silver 3 pronged blue magical energy sword.

“ Thirsty are we, Harci, isn’t it too early in the morning for beer?” asked Ohgood slyly in a soft voice as Zulgu followed Ole Brown Gug down the stairs and Harci looked over at Ohgood with a smirk on his face.

“ Only in my dreams, plus I need the power. Hey there’s an old man at the bottom of the staircase look,” said Harci excitedly as Gug hurried towards a small white haired old man with a round red spot of hair on his chin and a handlebar mustache, as well as a case of Elixir beer beside him.

“ There is an old man, let’s see what he’s selling,” said Ohgood happily as Zulgu walked up to the old man and then Ohgood put the voice chip to his mouth and asked the old man,” what are you doing down here, old man?”

Then the old man burped and said drunkenly,” My name is Soci and I’m a liquid salesman. You two thirsty at all?” asked Soci slyly as he raised up a green bottle of elixir beer and let out a cackle.

“ We sure are, my friend Gug needs 4 bottles of elixir beer, is that alright?” asked Ohgood softly as everyone looked on intently and Soci instantly stopped laughing and glared at Zulgu.

“ 3,000 coins and a smile or no deal. What say thee?” asked Soci sternly as he extended his left hand and bowed his head and whistled very quickly while Ohgood and Harci laughed.

“ I thought you needed that elixir, Harci, aren’t you gonna get some?” asked Ratie as she snuggled with Solcrist and he played with her hair.

“ Yes or I’ll die any
moment. Very observant of you, Ratie,” said Harci as he went up to Soci and then pulled out a bag of gold coins and said warmly,” here, Soci, we have an agreement. Now hand over the elixir!”

“ That reminds me the ship needs to refuel. I’m going to set us down on the moon of Gimbiac. That way we won’t have to worry about fuel once we enter Lada,” said Siex as he set the Croul to its landing coordinates and the ship began flying thru the atmosphere of the planet Gimbiac.

“ Works for me as long as Harci doesn’t get shafted by Soci here, who’s taking his time counting out the coins,” said Ohgood as he watched Soci let out sighs and count fist fulls of gold coins as his eyes darted from side to side and then Soci put the sack of coins in his pants pocket and grabbed his case of elixir and ran for it and Ohgood said loudly,” I knew he was crooked, come back here with our money you little brat!”

Everyone laughed and Epam said happily,” I was duped by that, and it was very enjoyable.”

“ I was not as happy about it as you might think. I’m getting those elixirs and Soci will pay the price,” said Harci slyly as Gug threw a large sphere of green light dragons at Soci and they tried to grab onto him, but he darted into a secret passageway in the left stone wall and disappeared and Harci said quickly,” you can’t do that!”

Then Zulgu and Ole Brown Gug ran into the secret passageway and fell down a blue slippery slide that spiraled a thousand feet into the ground. They passed ghostly figures that punched them in the sides as puffs of smoke shot out of their eyes.

“ Hey, what’s this load of crap?” asked Ohgood joyously as they slid faster and faster and Harci laughed.

“ I don’t know how many more punches Gug can take,” said Harci implying a question as he tried to dodge the ghosts punches.

“ Gug’s done for, I didn’t want to say anything, but he needed that elixir beer,” said Famaron as he chewed a cheeseburger wrap and watched the two of them slide at hyper speed.

“ R.I.P. Gug, I’ll miss him I didn’t’ want to say it. Goarote rest in peace Gug,” said Ohgood as he yawned and waited for them to stop sliding and glanced over at Harci and nodded softly and grimaced as Harci smiled and shook his head.

Then the slide came to an abrupt end and Zulgu and Gug shot out over a waterfall and down a massive fall. They smashed thru the surface of a purple lake and deep into a suction tunnel at the bottom. The suction pulled them into a massive tunnel then they blasted thru a bubble of dry air and were completely dry as they stood in a massive cave.

The cave had 2 giant red marble statues of Gorgranis holding a dragons head in one hand and a severed arm in the other, sitting next to one another on the right side of the cave. On the left side there was red flaming Gragums heads rolling thru a see thru glass tube maze, that had a pair of staircases leading up to it with Soci running up the stairs.

“ There he is, Soci, come back here you swindler!” said Ohgood excitedly as he pointed to Soci and Zulgu and Gug raced over towards him.

“ I want my elixir you miscreant, and I do mean want! Cause I’m thirsty and all,” said Harci playfully as he fired Gug’s broken laser pod beam, that sent a round laser filled pod that would trap Soci.

The laser pod hit Soci as he got to the top step and he dropped the case of elixir and shouted,” What is this treachery, unhand me you foolish nothings!”

“ Nice try, Soci, now you’re in my grasp. And I’ll be squeezing good and tight,” said Harci greedily as Gug raced up the stairs.

“ But I was only foolin’. I mean it, I was just about to turn around and give you the elixirs,” said Soci coyly as he tried to free himself but couldn’t then Zulgu ran up to him and punched him in the kisser and Soci asked softly,” what was that for?”

“ For trying to squirm away. You knew you were caught and still you squirmed,” said Ohgood slyly as everyone laughed except for Siex who was looking out the plasma window by the bar, at Gimbiac.

“ Hey, Siex, don’t you want to see this?” asked Solcrist as he laughed and then saw Siex’s stunned face and asked,” what is it, Siex?”

“ We’re not in Genver anymore. I think you all need to some have a look at this,” said Siex in a concerned voice as he motioned with his hand and everyone hurried over to the plasma window.

In front of them they saw an expanse of rolling grassy hills that had red and black marble castles in every direction shaped like jagged mushrooms and surrounded by millions of fair skinner brown haired slaves called Bormains. The Bormains were building the colossal castles by hand and each one was 8 miles high. Around the massive structures were vast armies and battleships perched on anti-gravity white circular light pods, that pulsed and created the ruler of Gimbiac’s face Ordash Mowar.

Ordash was a Pastou by birth, which were a race of geniuses and had inherited the world after a bloody battle with the Bormains that left all of its government dead or dying including all 100,000 of its senators and of course king Fula Sud. Then Ordash set about enslaving those that were left as a way to prevent any future uprisings.

Beyond the castles lay a 500 mile long Dergle field, which had millions of refineries and ships transporting the Dergle to Ordash’s empirical castle.

Dergle was a light blue milk like liquid that created a state in a person’s body of enormous magical power as well as an invisible shield surrounding them that prevented them from being attacked by violent means, like by sword or gun.

“ You sure that’s not Genver,” said Ohgood sarcastically as he eyed Gimbiac and felt a terror come over him and no one laughed.

“ Look, Siex, I know we need fuel, but this ain’t the place,” said Famaron sternly as he watched a dozen Bormains being electrocuted to death on top of a white finger shaped tower.

“ Yeah, you are right on that. Let’s swing around quick,” said Siex nervously as he turned to grab the remote and saw Solcrist holding it and said,” oh, thank you I need that.”

“ It doesn’t matter at this point we’re out of fuel,” said Solcrist as he handed Siex the remote and grimaced.

Siex looked at the gauge and saw they had only a few minutes left and let out a loud sigh and Epam asked,” What are our options?”

“ We have none, we can’t fight our way out of here if we’re gonna run out of fuel during our escape. No, at this point we have to be prepared to grovel and convince those terrors down there that we think there’s nothing wrong with their way of life,” said Mench sternly as everyone felt their hearts sink at their predicament and Ohgood wrapped his arm around Mench and frowned.

“ Boy I hate my life, I was just starting to relax and now I’m forced to fight for my life uhh,” said Ratie sadly as she walked over and hugged Solcrist tightly and began to sob.

“ It’s alright, Ratie, we’re gonna dupe them and get out of here as soon as possible. Now, we need a good lie concerning that mass of slaves down there. Any ideas?” asked Famaron as he paced back and forth and shook his hands beside either side of his head.

“ I have it, first, Famaron, stop creeping us all out with your nervousness,” said Ohgood jokingly and everyone smiled and Famaron laughed and shook his finger at Ohgood and then Ohgood said,” secondly all’s we have to do is tell them we are slave owners on our home world and they won’t suspect a thing.”

“ That is perfect, bravo, Ohgood, but what’s our excuse for being here, cause you know they’ll ask?” asked Epam as he punched thru two different dimensions as he was looking for his lost glasses and a plume of blue and green light shot out of the small hole while everyone just looked at him perplexed.

“ We’re on our way to Lada to find a wellspring of magical energy that we heard existed there. And then when they ask us why we stopped on their world, we’ll simply say we needed to refuel and were

intrigued by the color of this planet,” said
Ohgood calmly as he smiled slightly and everyone looked on with sly smiles.

“ It sounds perfect, let’s set down on the landing pad to the right there and see what happens,” said Siex as he steered the Croul towards a massive clover shaped red landing pad in between 2 of the massive castles.

As they landed a trio of Ogily ships landed around the outside of the Croul and boxed it in.

The Ogilys were a black and gold Ordash’s head shaped 50 story high ship, that had massive round magic firing guns on all 4 sides of it. There was also a wall liquefying gun above the eyes of Ordash that could make walls transparent and allow troops to freely enter your ship. There was also a dozen launching swords, that would shoot out and thru any ship that drew close and smash massive holes in them then retract.

“ Ah, they just surrounded our ship. That’s not the act of a friend,” said Siex in a concerned tone as he gave everyone a look and frowned.

Then above the Croul a red cone shaped ship lowered down onto the top of it and attached to the Ogilys locking the Croul in place and making a loud metallic sound.

“ Everyone relax, we’ve got a plan. Remember the plan and steer all conversations back to it, got it?” asked Famaron sternly as he hid his feelings of fear from everyone and put on a brave face.

“ I got it, but what are the chances they’ll even ask? I mean they just locked us in here,” asked Ratie nervously as she felt light headed and held her chest.

“ Well we’ll find out shortly they’re boarding the Croul right now. Who’s gonna wear the Seav’s and hold the staff of Simis?” asked Siex anxiously as he looked at Famaron who had a look like he’d completely forgot about them.

“ You take ‘em, Siex, they’re up against the bar. I’ll use your staff, that way if they figure out I’m the leader they would also figure I’d have a powerful staff and take it,” said Famaron as Siex hurried over to the bar and grabbed the Seav’s and staff of Simis and then Siex handed Famaron his staff and Famaron said sternly,” now if they come in here guns blazing we spare not a hair on their heads.”

“ If they have hair, can we see them on the hologram, Siex?” asked Mench as she opened a bottle of red wine and then drank it and Ohgood handed her, her staff.

“ Yes we can, let’s take a look,” said Siex as he pressed the button for the ship’s hallways and saw them filled with Grums, which were the name for the Pastou soldiers.

The Grums were checking every room and had laser shotguns called Piha’s, drawn and ready to shoot.

“ The Croul’s overrun with them. The question is how do we fight them off when they get aggressive?” asked Siex anxiously as he looked to Famaron for an answer.

“ Well, if we abandon this ship and use spells to get means of transportation, one it will be small ships or dragons which have a limited range. Secondly we’ll lose everything we own and most likely lose one or more of the people in this room during the escape,” said Famaron sternly as he pursed his lips and inspected Siex’s staff and then looked around the room and saw worried faces.

“ That is not an option of you’re asking me. I can go a lifetime or more and never care about another thing or possession, but I care about everyone in this room too much to lose any of you,” said Solcrist

sharply as he put his hand on Ratie’s head and looked lovingly down at her as she gazed up at him and smiled.

“ He’s right, it’s all us safe or none of us. And this ship can be replaced. So what’s our plan?” asked Harci as he gripped his staff and stretched out his back muscles while he filled his mind with thoughts calm places he’d been in his life to calm his nerves.

“ I’ve got a plan, all’s we have to do it purport that it’s only one if us on this ship. Then we let them capture this person and take them to the ruler of this moon and try to barter safe passage,” said Ohgood calmly and honestly as everyone looked at him with smirks.

“ Why is that better than all of us, Ohgood?” asked Ratie sadly as she frowned at Ohgood and thought what a dumb idea that was.

“ Because if it’s only one person they’ll be more likely to let them go as they’ll seem less of a threat,” said Mench quickly as a wry smile came over her face and then she kissed Ohgood.

“ Exactly and it leaves the rest of us on the ship ready and waiting to aid the person who meets with them if anything goes wrong,” said Ohgood enthusiastically as he smiled from ear to ear and squeezed Mench’s butt.

“ And it saves the ship in case they try and take it. Alright, who’s up for an adventure, and it ain’t gonna be me?” asked Famaron as he looked at everyone and grinned.

“ I’ll do it, it was my idea to land on this planet so I’ll take the responsibility. I should give you back your staff and glasses in case they try to take them,” said Siex as he handed Famaron the Seav’s and staff of Simis and Famaron gave him his staff back.

“ Remember, Siex, if they try to do anything devious to you contact us and we’ll come running. Which reminds me how will you contact us?” asked Famaron as he put his hand on Siex’s shoulder and gave him a firm nod.

“ I’ve got the transmitter for the Croul’s communication system in my necklace. That will allow me to send you a message by simply touching it and speaking. The signal I’ll use will be the word Dubgud. If you hear it come and get me immediately and use any means necessary,” said Siex firmly as he grimaced and nodded gently.

“ We’ll do exactly that, and those means will be swift and vicious. We’re not an army, but we’ll be close with the staff of Simis and a little Ratie power,” said Ratie wryly as she grinned and rubbed Solcrist’s chest.

“ They’re nearing the outside doors that lead up the stairs! We have to hide and quick,” said Harci loudly as he watched the Grums blasting away at the marble doors that led up to the staircase to the Lazy Lounge and felt the hairs stand up on the back of his neck.

“ We’ll use an invisibility spell. I’ll take care of it,” said Epam and then he raised his staff and shouted,” Can’t see can’t show connaw!”

Then a ray of purple energy shot out of his eyes and everyone he looked at turned invisible as he himself disappeared. Then only Siex was left and Ratie asked,” What about everyone else on the ship, shouldn’t we warn them?”

“ It’s too late, you’ll have to say they’re your crew, Siex,” said Famaron quickly as he looked around the room for a place to hide and then asked,” are there any compartments or storage lockers in this room, Siex?”

Then Siex looked around the room and remembered there were 6 closets hidden behind the right wall and pointed and said quickly,” Right over there just press in the eyes on that painting and they’ll open. But why do you need to hide?” asked Siex in a concerned tone as he furrowed his brow.

“ Because they may decide to interrogate you and the spell could ware off before they’d left. Then we’d all have a good time wouldn’t we,” said Famaron sharply as everyone hurried over to the right wall and then Solcrist pressed in the eyes and a round closet door swung inward and everyone hurried in and then Famaron said hopefully,” Good luck and stay calm.”

“ I’ll try,” said Siex and then Famaron closed the door behind him and looked and saw everyone sitting in recliners and drinking wine and he grinned.

The closet had 10 large barrels of wine on the left and right, with the recliners in between them facing the door, which was a 2 sided door and could be seen thru. There was a large plasma window behind the recliners and above a staircase that led to a series of secret tunnels that went throughout the Croul. The stairs were covered in a red thick carpet and had dozens of doors on either side of them leading to among other things secret rooms and weapons cashes.

“ I see we’re all comfy I guess I’ll stand,” said Famaron slyly as he looked at how comfortable everyone was and grinn
ed.

“ Yeah maybe you should, but you’re blocking our view so move to one side or the other,” said Ratie in between drinks as she looked at Siex pacing back and forth.

“ Well aren’t we particular, Ratie, daughter of destruction. Fine I’ll stand off to the side,” said Famaron slyly as he slowly moved out of everyone’s way and then turned and saw the Grums burst into the room led by general Siar Bavie.

Siar Bavie had long red wavy hair that shot out from under his small dark green helmet. He also had golden piercing eyes, a block chin, and high cheekbones. He had a pyramid tattoo beneath both eyes with one gold in color and the other dark red. He was 6’3” and 246 pounds and had on a dark green solid color metallic fatigue with brown sandals, as well as a thin circle of white light around his neck and 2 blue ones around his wrists.

“ Hey there my name is Siex I’m here to refuel my ship.”

“ Are you the leader of this outfit?” asked Siar calmly as his Grums searched the room for weapons.

“ Yes this is my ship and I have authority over the crew. Why do you ask?” asked Siex as he watched the Grums tearing the room to pieces and a pair of them stood on either side of him and glared at him.

“ Because too much sunlight can blind a man,” said Siar flatly as he eyed Siex and Siar grinned slightly at him.

“ I don’t know what that…” said Siex nervously, but as he spoke Siar raised his laser rifle and shot him in the face blowing a hole clean thru Siex’s head and killing him.

“ Siex!” said Ratie loudly as she saw Siex get blasted and then quickly covered her mouth as she realized she might have been heard.

“ You talk too much, and your ship is now ours you insolent fool. My name was Siar, thanks for not asking!” said Siar snidely as he kicked Siex’s body and then pointed to the painting that everyone was hiding behind and said sternly,” I thought I heard something check that wall.”

Then 6 Grums walked briskly over to the painting and set about looking for the door. As they pressed in on the eyes of the painting the door swung inward and they saw nothing but the empty chairs.

“ There’s no one here, general, but there are several chairs and a staircase. What do you want us to do?” asked sergeant Corcom as he inspected the secret room.

“ They could be hiding in other compartments so just start firing into the walls. Also send 6 soldiers down the stairs and see where they lead, but remember we’re not taking prisoners, so if you find anyone use maximum means of destruction. This ship is ours now,” said Siar snidely as he laughed menacingly and looked down at Siex.

Then the soldiers began blasting into the chairs and the walls blowing them to pieces. Then 6 soldiers raced down the stairs and shot up the walls as they did.

Meanwhile everyone was hidden in a secret passageway at the bottom of the stairs and down a corridor. They were just running into a large secret room and Famaron shut the door behind them quickly and said breathlessly,” Alright look, those monsters aren’t giving us a way out. So I say we use maximum violence to at the very least, get us out of here alive. If they’d kill Siex in cold blood they’ve probably killed all the crew already so we need to find a way out of here and off this planet.”

“ We’ll use the staff of Simis to kill all the troops on this ship. And then we’ll use its extra power to get us a ship we can comfortably ride in. We need to fill the Croul with spells and now,” said Harci as he looked sternly at Famaron who nodded firmly.

“ Epprmano vendion!” shouted Famaron as he raised his staff and then a baker’s dozen of tiny Sargs appeared in front of them all.

The Sargs were green skinned and had bright yellow glowing eyes, as well as recasting spell pistols in their hands and a sickle over their shoulders that was razor sharp. As the Sargs flew towards the door Ratie smiled and opened it and asked,” Aren’t they a bit small, Famaron?”

“ Wait ah minute they’ll grow as they fly. Look out in the hall and see,” said Famaron happily as he stepped out in the hall followed by everyone and as they saw the Sargs they were now 11 feet tall and 1100 pounds of sculpted muscle and Famaron said slyly,” they’re a whole lot of terrible now.”

“ I guess to sex, huh. Well I’ve got no sympathy for those soldiers after what they did to Siex. Now what do we do?” asked Ratie calmly as she eyed the Sargs as they headed down the corridor.

“ We wait a little while and then blast a hole in the roof of the ship and make a break for it,” said Famaron happily as he heard a Sarg killing a Grum on the stairs and smiled.

The Grums saw the Sargs and went for their laser rifles, but the Sargs blasted 3 of them with their recasting pistols and the Grums turned into a half man half pie piece, a stiff breeze filled with blue dust, and an orb of turquoise light that shot thru the walls. Then the remaining 2 Grums ran back up the stairs and before they could get to the top were hit in the backs with the Sargs sickles. The sickles went right thru them and stuck out their chests, as they screamed in agony. Then Siar heard this and shouted,” Everyone go after those Grums and see what’s happened to them!”

Then all the Grums raced after the original six and into the secret room. They were met by 6 Sargs who fired their pistols at them causing them to change into a host of things including a half eaten peanut butter sandwich, a mass of silver beads that went in every direction, as well as a dozen white square balloons filled with green paint that floated up to the ceiling then exploded covering a pair of Sargs in the paint.

“ We are under attack, emperor, how shall I proceed?” asked Siar nervously as he straightened his shirt and looked at the hologram of Ordash.

Ordash had glowing green eyes with tiny blue circles floating in front of each eye. He also had seal black short thick hair that started at the crown of his bulbous forehead. His nose was like an arrow head

pointed towards his upper lip. His mouth looked unamused and emotionless. He had on a dark red thick sweater with a gently arching large collar. He also had on white silk pants and no shoes only a layer of magic beneath each foot. He was 5’2” and 201 pounds.

“ Well, Siar, you seem to be failing me and our world again. I thought I sent you to kill their crew and secure their ship,” said Ordash snidely as he implied a question ad put his hand to his forehead.

“ We thought we had done just that until several beasts attacked us. Those very beasts are heading my way now,” said Siar nervously as he ran back down the stairs he had originally come up with a trio of Sargs close behind.

“ Well you figure it out,” said Ordash sharply then he smiled a wry smile.

“ What, aren’t you sending reinforcements?” asked Siar nervously as he ran frantically away from the flying Sargs and shot his laser pistol at them over his shoulder.

“ No, god no have fun with your new friends. Oh we’ll scatter your ashes don’t worry about it,” said Ordash snidely as he smirked and then his hologram disappeared.

“ Scatter my ashes, you son of a bitch!” shouted Siar as he raced down a long wide round corridor of green marble and looked for an escape.

The hall had dozens of black square doors on either side of it with red ivory door handles made to look like Siex. Above each were words of encouragement like,” We’ll get our lucky break,” as well as,” so what if we’re seconds from failure, we’re breathin’.” The floor of the corridor was covered with a thick black area rug with Siex’s face sewn onto it in gold thread. The walls in between the doors were black silk on top of a parquet mahogany wood paneling. The ceiling had a fake sunset that was bright orange and purple.

“ Get away from me!” shouted Siex as he raced full speed with the Sargs a few steps behind him.

Then he kicked in a door and came into a dining room filled with dead crew members that included Rinsh
ip, Orbay, and Burnrih and had a long black marble table surrounded by plush chairs and had a dozen dead bodies in those chairs. The walls had blood splattered on them and there was uneaten food set out on the table.

Siar looked around and then felt a sickle pierce thru his back as he screamed in agony. A second later the Sarg pulled its sickle out of his back and his heart as well. Then he slumped to the floor and died.

Meanwhile everyone was still waiting to stage their escape in the secret room with the door shut.

“ Do you think we’ve waited long enough?” asked Ratie anxiously as she bit her lip and looked around at everyone.

“ Well, that’s a good question. I say we break for it, but I forgot about one thing,” said Famaron as he frowned and tried to hide his concern.

“ What’s that?” asked Harci nervously as he looked at Famaron and waited.

“ Their ship is on top of ours, so we need to find a way to get clear of that ship and the ones on the sides. Which means we need a whole lot of luck,” said Famaron as he tried to think of a solution but his mind went blank.

“ I have to tell you, that’s a whole lot of bad luck. Well, what about going down instead of up?” asked Ratie as she motioned with her hands like she was shoveling and they all smiled at her.

“ She’s right, if we went to the lower decks we could use a spell to dig out around their ships, then blast a hole to the surface and make our break,” said Solcrist excitedly as he flashed a bright smile and everyone felt the ideas weight and nodded.

“ In that case we need to hurry before more soldiers come. Grab your staffs and let’s go,” said Famaron forcefully as he hurried over to the door and then opened it and poked his head out and saw no one and said happily,” our friends are long gone. Let’s head down this hallway and try and find an elevator quick.”

“ Works for me,” said Epam as he appeared in front of Famaron and startled him as he did.

“ Epam, where have you been?” asked Famaron in disbelief as he grinned and then continued down the hall.

“ I went to the library while Ohgood was playing his video game to see if I could find a book on gymnastics,” said Epam honestly as he raised his right hand with a red and black book in it.

“ Really, well o.k. we’re under attack and we need to quickly get to the lower levels. Do you know where an elevator is?” asked Famaron as he wondered why Epam wanted a book on gymnastics, but didn’t want to ask and simply grinned slightly.

“ Yes I just came from one follow me,” said Epam as he walked briskly down the hall then took a right into a small living room.

The room had 3 large red cushioned couches on the left, center, and right walls and a glass and maple table in front of them. The walls were covered in a dark green and purple gold leaf wallpaper that had dozens of tiny circles of green light that pulsed every few seconds.

“ Ah, Epam, we need to find the elevator, not sit and ponder lack of hearing or odd book choices,” said Ratie slyly as she let out a sigh and watched Epam sit down on one of the couches.

“ These are the elevators, look here,” said Epam as he opened the armrest and revealed a series of buttons and a joystick in the center.

“ That’s right, we used one of these a long time ago. Alright let’s get out of here,” said Mench happily as she sat down next to Epam as did everyone else.

“ Which button will get us to the basement?” asked Ohgood anxiously as he got comfortable then glanced over at a smiling Epam.

“ The one marked basement should do the trick,” said Epam slyly as he pursed his lips then pressed the green button with basement written on it.

A second later they shot backwards as they twisted and then downward at incredible speed. They soared thru a blue corridor that had all of Siex’s favorite sayings on the walls like,” Advantage leading to great confidence becomes disadvantage if it comes to you as a surprise,” as well as the saying,” we may be alone in the world at times, but never in our own minds.” The couch shot thru holographic flames and different colored light rings as it spiraled down towards a massive red light at the bottom.

“ This seemed more fun the last time we did it!” said Ohgood loudly as they rocketed downward and Mench held him tightly.

“ Yeah, now it’s more nauseous!” yelled Mench as she tried not to vomit and Ohgood smiled.

The couch neared the red light and as they did went thru a narrow shaft of black marble and thru a plume of white smoke. Then the red light disappeared and they came to rest in a large room filled with thousands of antiques toys and a trio of Konno’s in a line on the far wall. There were 4 large plasma windows on the left and right walls that were oval shaped and had 24 carat gold trim around with the words,” In sight of death, I am surly blind,” engraved on the gold. The floors in the room were dark brown mahogany and had a series of large and small circles throughout with Siex’s face worked into their design.

“ O.K. this looks promising,” said Ratie as she stood up and looked at the room.

“ It does, we can take those Konno’s and make a break for it,” said Harci as everyone hurried towards the Konno’s.

“ But how do we get them out of here without those ships seeing us?” asked Ohgood as he eyed the Konno’s and then looked at the plasma windows.

“ We can go between those 2 ships of theirs and use an invisible spell on the Konno’s, but we’ll have to hurry,” said Epam boldly as he floated over to the Konno’s.

“ I’ll take care of that,” said Famaron proudly then he raised the staff of Simis and shouted,” Windus give us flight sigo!”

Then a stiff breeze of white and green light came thru the plasma windows and enveloped the Konno’s turning them invisible.

“ Nice spell, so will we be able to look like a stiff breeze?” asked Solcrist honestly as a wry smile came over his face and he tapped his forehead.

“ That’s exactly right, we won’t even need propulsion. We’ll just soar out of here like a gust of wind and they’ll be no wiser for the wear,” said Famaron slyly as he hurried into a Konno followed by everyone else as they boarded the 3 Konno’s.

Famaron, Ohgood, Mench, and Ratie were on one. With Epam and Harci on another and Solcrist piloting the third b y himself. Once inside the pilot’s chairs the 3 Konno’s lifted off the ground and were swept out the plasma windows. They soared between the ships past a series of Grum police ships that were heading for the Croul.

The police ships were dark purple in color and were shaped like a dress shoe with rounded wings and had flame thrower laser guns on either side.

“ What in the sex are those things?” asked Ratie as she eyed the police ships and frowned while the police ships began blasting the Croul with their flame thrower lasers and setting it ablaze.

“ Who cares what they are, they would have burned us alive. Boy did we leave that party at the right time,” said Famaron sternly as he steered the Konno up towards the atmosphere and felt a chill go down his back.

“ That was more than luck, Goarote is watching out for us. But what a good bit of luck anyway. How much fuel does our ship have?” asked Ohgood as he started to look for a refrigerator next to the red leather couch behind Famaron’s pilot seat.

“ I’m not sure, I’ll check the main computer,” said Famaron then he typed in his request and a full fuel cell hologram popped up in front of him and he said happily,” yes, we’re full up. That will easily get us to Lada.”

Then Ohgood pressed a black steel button on the side of the couch and a large round refrigerator rose out of the floor filled with both hot and cold food. It also had tiny Siex statues as the door handles and a cigarette dispenser on the side.

“ Now we are talking and I don’t need a translator,” said Ohgood happ
ily as he eyed all the food and then opened the fridge and grabbed a meatball sub and let out a sigh.

“ What are you blathering about?” asked Famaron as he glanced over his shoulder and then saw Ohgood take a bite and said slyly,” than Goarote for food.”

“ Get your own I’m eating it all!” said Ohgood sarcastically as he continued to eat and Mench grabbed his mouth and kissed him.

“ Oh is that how it is? Well I might just crash the ship without even knowing it,” said Famaron jokingly as he pretended to lose consciousness and let go of the steering wheel and Ratie jumped up and ran over to the fridge and grabbed him a baked meat and cheese filled glazed loaf of bread and hurried over to him.

“ Quick, Famaron, eat this it could save our lives!” said Ratie slyly as she handed Famaron the 16 inch loaf and he grabbed it and quickly ate.

“ Thanks, Ratie, you saved our lives, and we’ll forget you for it,” said Famaron slyly as he ate and everyone laughed.

“ Hey we should contact the other 2 Konno’s and have them check their fuel levels,” said Harci as he grabbed a piece of caramel covered apple pie.

“ That’s a good point, step away from the sandwich, Famaron, and call ‘em,” said Mench slyly as she grinned and stood beside Famaron with her hands out and then he handed her the sub.

“ Fine, Mench, if I must,” said Famaron begrudgingly then he wiped off his hands and sent a hail to the 2 other Konno’s and a second later 2 holograms of their cockpits rose up in front of Famaron and he asked,” hey ah, I wanted to know how you’re all situated for fuel as ours is full?”

“ I’ll check,” said Harci in a concerned tone as he searched for the fuel gauge and then saw it was nearly empty and said sadly,” oh no I’m nearly empty.”

“ How ‘bout you, Solcrist?” asked Ratie nervously as she hoped he’d say full.

“ I am 3 quarters full. Why don’t Harci and Epam board my Konno? At the very least I could use the company,” asked Solcrist as he thought about how much he missed Ratie.

“ We can do that, but it will need to be right now as our Konno is about to die. Why don’t you pull alongside and we’ll use the docking mechanism to link the two ships?” asked Harci as he steered towards Solcrist’s Konno, but within a few seconds ran out of power and began to drift.

“ Consider it done,” said Solcrist as he pulled in close and extended the docking bay out to Harci’s Konno.

Then it locked on and an exterior door slid sideways revealing a walkway between the 2 ships. Harci and Epam hurried over to the walkway and started across.

“ Let’s hurry, Epam, this is not a safe place to be walking,” said Harci as he looked out thru the glass walls and felt a chill go down his back.

They began to run and then saw Solcrist on the opposite end waving to them. Then suddenly a small asteroid shot thru the glass walls of the walkway and began sucking Epam thru the hole. But as it did Epam whispered,” Sami fack!”

And a second later he vanished. Harci meanwhile was clinging to a post with his legs up in the air.

“ Gasto uppric!” shouted Solcrist then a tube of green and blue energy enveloped Harci and Solcrist and they were thrust into Solcrist’s Konno.

Then the door slammed behind the 2 of them and Harci gathered himself and said breathlessly,” Thank you, Solcrist, you saved my life.”

“ Think nothing of it, I was saving my own by the same token,” said Solcrist warmly as he stood up and dusted himself off.

“ What of Epam, did he make it?” asked Harci fearing the worst as Solcrist grabbed his hand and helped him to his feet.

“ Made it, I fixed you each a snack,” said Epam slyly as he walked into the room with a tray of brownies and blueberry pie and smiled.

“ Epam, my Goarote, how’d you pull that off?” asked Solcrist in a startled voice as he clutched his chest.

“ Oh the brownies were nothing,” said Epam coyly as he stood with the brownies beneath Harci’s hand and he and Solcrist grabbed one each and then Epam said happily,” I saw the asteroid coming so I had a spell ready to go when it hit. I wish I could have aided you, Harci, but there wasn’t time.”

“ It’s alright, let’s tell the other s we’re alright,” said Harci as he hurried over to the pilot’s chair with Solcrist and Epam beside him and then hailed the other Konno and said,” Famaron, we are all fine over here.”

“ We saw what happened and we’re thankful of that. Let’s hit the road and make our way to Lada,” said Famaron as everyone let out a collective sigh of relief.

“ We’ll do just that,” said Solcrist calmly as he threw a wink to Ratie who smiled and rubbed her lips.

Then they journeyed for a few days and saw the Pemerain of Lada in front of them.

The Pemerain was a purple and green square of magic and dust that surrounded the planet. It also had periodic holes burned thru it when the sun hit different sides of the planet. The planet itself was covered with 4 large round continents and a massive ocean known as the Cupric, that was crystal clear and dotted with thousands of islands. The 2 poles were covered in ice and had no inhabitants only a series of animals that ate mostly fish, but would eat a person if startled by one.
