In the aftermath of the religious war in the 52nd century known as the Trispet war, between all the organized religions of the time like the Orgs and the Ruets, a new understanding was established that people could believe whatever they wanted. Up to that point many people worshipped in private for fear of reprisals. Then suddenly a movement began by a Dorphin high priestess to make a connection with god and even speak with him in the flesh by figuring out exactly what it was god wanted from people.
The priestess was named Aricu and she set about enlisting the smartest people on Permea to join a think-tank. After 5 years they came to the conclusion that the demands of everyday life prevented all people from finding that part of themselves that god would find truly appealing. So they set about buying a large piece of land and building a new community. Once built they set about the work of breaking down each other’s speech patterns and egotistical thinking and abandoned them for a more honest and bare way of communicating. They also began walking around with very little or no clothing at all. They found when they completely accepted each other as humans instead the names their parents had given them they stopped talking about the weather or the problems in the world and began really knowing one another. They spoke of what always bothered them and what caused them shame in an effort to unburden each other and it worked. They spent 6 years without a moment of anger, shame, or fear, and then one day appeared a 3 foot tall stark white haired tan skinned man in a thick furry brown robe with yellow
eyes. He walked over to Aricu and began to float up to her eye level and said flatly,” I am Bamrab, one of god’s sons and I will speak for you in my father’s stead. By your many sacrifices you’ve earned the right to have your questions answered. What would you like to know?” To which she answered flatly,” You.”
Inside the Konno everyone was on their anti-gravity motorcycles playing Edli and had just finished the opening segment and were now racing thru a holographic swamp on their way to the swamp castle to retrieve the lance of Mome. The swamp had 15 feet tall green stalks in every direction with small pools of smoking red water everywhere. There were Palamans lying in the water on their backs begin eaten by buzzards as the red sun poked thru the heavy cloud cover. An evil rock and roll song was playing titled,” Why aren’t we dead,” by the Lost Screams.
“ This is evil looking everyone so keep those flamethrowers and swords ready,” said Ratie as she rode thru the swamp beside Solcrist with her black sword in her hand.
“ I wouldn’t worry, all creatures fear the true power of Ohgood. It’s widely known,” said Ohgood wryly as he swung his sword in a circle in front of him.
“ Are those dustmits or air dragons, ya know the ones you can’t see. Either way I feel safe,” said Camtow jokingly as she batted her eyes and smiled at Ohgood.
Then as they rode thru a large bush suddenly out jumped a red skinned demon who sprung forward with a strip of black pointed hair from the top of its eyes to the small of its back called Hore. It was 7’5” and weighed 600 pounds of pure muscle.
“ Watch out, Camtow!” yelled Ratie as the Hore shot a stream of yellow round laser bursts at her.
She didn’t react fast enough and the bursts blew a large hole in her character’s head and she was thrust out of the swamp and into the jail of dead players in a dark dungeon.
“ Oh that sucks, I was just getting good at this,” said Camtow in disbelief as she threw down her sword.
“ I’ll take care of this unruly beast fear not!” said Famaron boldly then he rode towards the Hore and deflected its laser blasts with his sword then buried his sword in its chest.
The Hore let out a blood curdling scream and shot backward. The hole in its chest shot out a dark green liquid and chunks of red flesh as it ran crazily in every direction.
“ He’s toast, and I’m not hungry. Let me do him in, Famaron,” said Ohgood as he rode past Famaron.
“ Oh no you don’t this beast is all mine. I’ve got my lady’s honor to uphold,” said Famaron boldly as he tore after the Hore.
Then the Hore stopped dead in its tracks and did a backflip over Famaron and Ohgood’s players and landed on the back of Famaron’s motorcycle. Famaron spun around just as the beast was about to bury its teeth in his neck, he shot a round laser burst from his chest plate that blew all of the Hore’s skin, blood, and organs out the back of its skeleton leaving only a skeleton staring at Famaron so he punched it off the back of his motorcycle.
“ Nice work young warrior there is much to still do. Keep yourself wise and ready to succeed,” said the supreme wizard Lordathar as he appeared as a hologram in front of Famaron’s player.
Lordathar had long light blonde hair with silver heads tied at the tips. Every word he spoke floated out of his eyes as white words. He had paisley eyes and a square nose. He had on a dark brown flowing robe
with a black belt and red boots. In his hand was a dark green staff and a small square black leather book of secrets and tips for the game players.
“ Thank you, Lordathar, I can’t help being the best, I wish I could,” said Famaron slyly as he shrugged his shoulders and grinned while Ratie let out a sigh.
As they rode thru the swamp suddenly out of it rose dozens of black bones skeletons with smoke coming off them and a light red glow in their eyes.
“ This is cool, do we thrash ‘em?” asked Ohgood as he rode past a few skeletons.
“ I don’t believe so, they seem to be harmless,” said Solcrist as he looked over at Ohgood and smirked.
Then suddenly out of the swamp rose a dark red castle that looked like a riverboat without the bottom. There were demons draped over the sides of it with flaming bows and bottles of wine in their hands. On top of the castle there was a 100 foot tall multi colored vortex with a turquoise shimmering helmet floating inside with lightning bolts coming out of it in every direction. On the front of the castle there was a painting of a dragon being eaten by a massive bulbous man with dark brown skin.
“ This is my kind of party, look at those sloshed demons how beautiful,” said Mench as she eyed the castle.
“ Typical, demons drunk on the job. I’m going to lodge a formal complaint to the man who takes complaints,” said Ohgood boldly as he smiled and waved his sword.
“ The complaint men, oh that’s Lamesickle, Ohgood,” said Ratie as she crinkled her nose and thought how cool the Edli game was.
“ I’ll have you know it’s coolsickle, because the complaint man is a good person. And he takes complaint large and small from people of all degrees of body odor. And if he were here he’d say, Ratie,
I’m tired of listening to your yap! And you and your pet Lamesickle can dig a deep hole and fall in cause the sun shines most days,” said Ohgood boldly and sarcastically as he waved his sword and made a goofy face.
“ It doesn’t matter, Lamesickle, Ohgood, believe it,” said Ratie sternly as she smiled.
Then the demons began lighting their wine bottles on fire and hurling them at everyone and Famaron yelled,” We’ve got a battle on our hands!”
Then Ratie ducked one of the bottles and shot a massive spell from her staff by pressing a button on her controller. The spell sent out a wave of fire and mini grenades that when it got to the demons burned them down to piles of ash and rolled over the castles walls, but did no damage.
“ That was a fine spell, Ratie, and just in time. Quick, what am I thinking and it starts with dragon dung?” asked Ohgood quickly as he put his hands to his head and closed his eyes and winced.
“ Ah ha dragon dung is good for breakfast lunch and din din, but not snacks. Alright what am I thinking and it starts with Ohgood is a moron?” asked Ratie quickly then she winced and put her hands to her nostrils and winced.
“ Ohgood is a, moron is Ratie’s nickname as well as blubber butt and rear end Ratie. I’ve got a n
ew game it’s called accidental death, hold my sword in your throat while I explain the rules,” said Ohgood as he began handing Ratie his sword and she looked away and he said sternly,” take it, take it you little brat. What no good, alright I’ll have to play alone.”
“ What’s that up ahead?” asked Camtow as a thin man in a black robe walked out of the castle and buried a white sword in the ground.
Then the thin man named Gartipu dove into one of the pools in the swamp and disappeared from view.
“ That was like so creepy. Where did you go ahva?” asked Ratie in disbelief as she raced towards the castle.
“ People always go somewhere and it is usually here,” said Solcrist as he took s sip of his wine and cleared his throat.
“ Yeah, that wasn’t vague at all. Just serious, I love a bit of random deep thinking. That said why don’t we all gun it right into the castle before he comes back,” said Ohgood as he pretended to be an old man and hunched forward on his motorcycle.
“ I like the sound of that , time to lay the hammer down and pick up the ax,” said Famaron snidely then he shot forward towards the castle’s front entrance as he did Gartipu grabbed onto the back of his motorcycle and pulled himself onto it and Famaron saw the motion out of the corner of his eye and Ratie yelled,” Look out, Famaron, he’s behind you!”
Famaron swung around and shot a series of red beams from his fingertips, but Gartipu blocked the beams with a cloud of dense blue smoke that devoured the beams.
“ He’s not playin’ fair, do over,” said Ohgood in a little kids voice as he pouted.
“ Ahh my little sex machine do you need sex?” asked Mench as she rubbed Ohgood’s head and he laughed.
Meanwhile Famaron was still blasting away at Gartipu with a new spell that attempted to rain blades on his head, but the cloud absorbed them entirely.
“ I’m running out of ideas here, does anyone have a suggestion?” asked Famaron as Gartipu began swinging his meal clever at Famaron who ducked and blocked it with his sword repeatedly.
“ Lose some weight,” said Ratie sarcastically as she waved to no one.
“ Shave your back, it works for Mench,” said Ohgood sarcastically then he gave Mench a smile.
“ Try bathing more than every other month and use a chainsaw on that nose hair,” said Mench slyly then she began to laugh as did Ohgood and Ratie.
“ Again, does anyone have anything helpful to say?” asked Famaron as he fought for his life by blasting large round bursts of orange flames at Gartipu.
Then suddenly the entire room filled with the sound of small children singing the song,” Why aren’t we big hearted little people,” with the lyrics, we only know young, have no places we’ve come so far from, but we are what said young people instead with a heart that can’t open itself,” and a turquoise and blue light enveloped all.
“ What’s going on?” asked Camtow nervously as she looked around and hurried over to Famaron.
“ Someone is here,” said Solcrist flatly as a wave of brief joy washed over his face.
Then suddenly appeared the wizard Derndish Volocity. He was striking at 9’5” inches tall and over 1100 pounds, with long arms that had the ancient text written on them from the book of Boeal, which was a collection of bigger thoughts and understandings like,” the day I knew it all was the first day of my life. And the following day I spent in a haze of calm and confidence.” It also had the saying,” At first you thirst for success, then hatred, then power and then when you have them all you only thirst for love as it would have given you more than thirst.” He had a square jaw and small thin nose as well as blue and black eyes that had a triangle design in each. He had on a black cashmere sweater and dark brown corduroy pants as well as black dress shoes with the words,” I couldn’t resist resisting,” written from the back to the front in red letters. He had a simple yellow staff with a golden Sarg on top that shot a burst of fire from its eyes every few seconds.
Derndish stood in the room and gave everyone a quick looking over and then said snidely,” I don’t need any of you to breathe another second to make me happy, but I have something you must know or my life of carefree days and longer respites will be destroyed.”
“ What have you to tell us ah,” said Solcrist as he looked sternly at Derndish and walked over to him.
“ Derndish is my name, Solcrist, and introductions are a formality I never cared for much. Now listen up!” thundered Derndish as he glared at everyone and thrust his sword thru the floor and then said happily,” WE are going to die if your plans to destroy the Sorplecs fail. So I have a bit of information that can turn the tide in our favor.”
“ And what would that be, Derndish, a 2 story sword and shield made of bruised egos?” asked Ohgood jokingly as he grinned and folded his arms.
Then Derndish walked over to Ohgood and said fiercely,” I don’t like you, I’d watch that fat mouth of yours see it doesn’t get you destroyed!”
“ He’s only joking, what was it you had to say?” asked Ratie warmly as she gently put her hand on Derndish’s forearm and smirked.
Derndish glared at Ohgood for a moment as Ohgood grinned and then said,” I have it as my understanding that you are in the possession of a volume of the Laru books. Is that correct?” asked Derndish as he began to shrink in size and soon was only 6’1” and 240 pounds.
Famaron saw this and looked at everyone with his jaw dropped and then said,” Yes, I have it with me here now. What does that matter now?”
Then Derndish smiled and said as he nodded his head,” Give it to me and I will show you exactly why it matters.”
Famaron shrugged his shoulders and walked over and grabbed his black corduroy jacket. Then he reached into the inside pocket and pulled out the Laru and shook it in his hand. And then he walked over to Derndish and handed it to him and said,” Here it is I hope there’s a point to this, Derndish.”
Then Derndish flipped to the back cover of the Laru and pressed a red round button in the center. Then out of the book shot a floating castle above a large flaming red lake. The castle had 15 towers that popped up from all over the massive structure. It had the head of a demon on the front expelling large bursts of electricity and blue flames as dozens of Vomics flew in and around it.
Vomics were a dark blue 15 foot tall bird of prey, that had the features of a man only with a massive green head with long crooked spikes extending out of it on the top and sides. It also had a third eye that was made up of white energy. Their wings had tiny mini wings on them that gave them the ability to change directions in an instant.
There was a series of large white stone heads surrounding the castle that looked like the wizard Spash hence the name Spash castle.
“ See this castle here, there is a pair of glasses hidden inside its walls that are so powerful that it can destroy a wizard’s magical abilities and render them powerless. It can also give a wizard 50 times his normal magical power and even become his spells,” said Derndish as he grinned and thought about holding the Seav glasses in his hands.
“ What do you mean become a spell, that’s crazy talk huh?” asked Ratie in disbelief as she shrugged her shoulders and grimaced.
“ What I mean is this, with that pair of Seav glasses on you can cast a spell for a 500 foot Sarg and take the place of the Sarg in its body. The power of that, the sheer joy of tearing people to shreds I can’t…, I won’t describe the indescribable, Ratie. With the glasses the Sorplecs would be at a large
disadvantage and we could destroy them!” said Derndish boldly as he clenched his fist and then laughed to himself as he thought of taking over Permea after the war was over.
“ O.K. great then why aren’t you there now getting the Seav glasses, too many parties to go to?” asked Ohgood as he walked past Derndish and grinned at him.
r /> “ Because, you impertinent child, this Laru has the way to unlock the portal to the Domystic dimension as well as the map to the Spash castle. And even with all that I could never do it alone, which is why I’ll need all of you,” said Derndish sadly as he frowned and gave Ratie a look.
Ratie felt sympathy for him and said quickly,” I think we should help him. Let’s face it we’re basically helping ourselves if we do.”
“ That’s a valid point, Ratie, but the Domystic is a realm filled with murderous beast and most assuredly many of us would die. A burden like that can’t be taken upon lightly,” said Solcrist firmly then he raised his left eyebrow and pursed his lips as he thought of his time in the Domystic.
“ This much is true and I won’t lie to you we will be against many foes and forces of evil like you’ve never seen. That said the Sorplecs are coming and in case you didn’t know they mean to do unspeakable harm to all of us. I can’t do this without you and we can’t win the war without the Seav’s, so what’s your decision?” asked Derndish nervously as he leaned up against one of the motorcycles and let out a sigh.
Everyone looked at each other and then nodded yes and Famaron stepped forward and said flatly,” Yes.”
