Brent Grimes sat in his office and gazed at a crime report, before his cellphone went off. He clutched the phone out of his hip holster and donned a puzzled look when he didn’t recognize the number.
“Hello?” said Brent, answering the call.
“Mayor Grimes?” asked Belinda.
“Who is this?”
“I don’t know if you remember me Mayor Grimes; my name is Belinda, I’m the receptionist at your company’s Chicago office.”
“Yes, I remember you; but how’d you get my cell number?”
“Forgive me for not answering your question right now, Mayor Grimes—but I’ve got some information you and your other mayor friends, really need to hear . . .”
