"Well do any of you have ideas for funding. I don't see any gold laying around!"
"I have an idea." One of the diamond sailors said "How about we sell this. We don't have it in Spain and I'm sure people will pay top dollar for it."
He pointing to a tree with red bark.
It is the one sacred to Indians.
The other sailors were mumbling agreement.
“All right, chop it down." Richard said.
"Axe!" The sailor cried.
From somewhere in the crowd an axe was thrown, which the sailor caught.
Crack!
The tree hit the ground.
"AYAMIA!"
At least that's what it sounded like. I was hard to tell because they were all yelling different things. They had charged out onto the ground in front of them.
Lewis watched members of the Diamond fall to the ground, arrows in their chests; and Indians fall dead with bullet holes. Smoke swirled into the cave, and seeing became near to impossible. Then a dark figure cam towards him through the smoke. Once he was a few feet away, Lewis could tell who he was.
“Akahoe.”
He untied Lewis, then the rest of the Discovery’s crew.
Through the smoke he saw Richard running in terror.
Lewis reached towards the ground and grabbed the captain’s belt. He slapped it on, grabbed a sword, and ran after Richard.
He was running up to a ledge at the side of a cliff, hanging over the Ocean. It was elevated about ten feet above the rest of the battle. He was lighting a fuse to a…canon.
Lewis sprinted up its side. Richard spun around and shot a bullet. It missed by a hair. The smoke gave him some protection, but not enough. He fired again, and he felt it shave a fleck of skin off his head. Richard raised his gun one last time, a direct aim at his heart. He pulled the trigger and…
“Ahhhhh!”
Lewis sliced his sword through the air. Richards hand and his gun fell into the Ocean, firing harmlessly below. With his left hand Richard withdrew his own sword. Richard made a few weak attempts at a strike, but Lewis quickly disarmed him, his sword spiraling into the Ocean. Without the clang of swords or the crack of a gun, he could hear a fizzling sound behind him. Lewis spun around. The fuse was down to less than a centimeter. Lewis launched himself into the air and pushed up the canon. The ball launched into the air, hundreds of feet, then turned back around. Lewis jumped backwards as the whole side of the cliff feel into the Sea.
“AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!’
“Richard!” he screamed.
He had been hit square in the chest. He was now headed to the bottom of the Ocean.
Lewis could just stand and look. He didn’t know how much had passed. Akahoe and Augustus walked up to Lewis’ side. Lewis glanced over his shoulder and saw the battle field. Many were dead. He saw only a couple of crew members from the explorer still alive, but greatly damaged and couldn’t live much longer. Their crew had been greatly outmatched. Many Indians still stood, and yet many had fallen. About half of Christopher’s crew was left. The only crew member of the diamond left was tree chopper man, but as Lewis watched Columbus stabbed him in the chest. Lewis returned his gaze to the water down below.
“Is dead?” Ackahoe asked curiously.
All Lewis did was nod. No matter how hard he tried, no words could come out.
“He deserved what he got.” Augustus said.
Lewis never said that he agreed. He remembered when he was a kid picking up a stick in his parent’s backyard swiping it threw the air.
“When I grow up, I’ll sail the sea, fighting crooks and criminals!”
Mother looked up from her knitting to respond.
“I’m sure you will my brave little boy!”
Then he remembered another time when he was eleven.
“This will be the best armor this town had ever seen!” Lewis told his best friend, Johnny.
“We’ll win for sure!” He agreed.
They were preparing armor for the tournament in the fields every Saturday were all the kids would get together and fight in swordplay. Although it was tons of fun, nobody ever got hurt.
Back then he had seemed to be so revved and ready for a fight, to kill all who trespassed against him. Now all being an assign could bring was guilt. And loads of it. He withdrew the withered rose from his satchel and threw it into the ocean. With that he trudged back through the bodies of the dead to the ground below.

Lewis and the other survivors from Columbus’s and the explorer’s crew walked out from the cave where they had slept for the night. They all met on the shore of the beach to say thanks to the Indians and to make final arrangements for the following journey home.
Christopher began to speak.
“We would like to thank all of you for your tireless work to help us,” he said to all the Indians.
“You have truly shown amazing bravery serving our king, and on behalf of the crown we present you and your tribe with all of our finding on this land.”
He handed the Indians a handful of shining gold to their chief. He examined it with immense curiosity.
“Thank-you.” Akahoe said. Apparently he was the only one who had learned basic English.
“I believe we can all fit to board one ship.”
“I suggest the Explorer.” Marcus said.
“All who agree?’ Christopher said.
“Aye,” everyone said.
“Now, we will need a new captain, for I am in no condition to continue the role.”
This was true. His right arm and left hand were in make-shift casts, and he was blind in his left eye. It was stabbed in the fighting.
“I nominate Lewis Night. All in favor?”
To Lewis’ surprise “I” rang out throw the who crowd gathered.
Christopher smiled down at Lewis as he placed the captain’s hat on his head.
“Well, I suppose everything has been settled. I suppose we should take the row boats back to the ship.”
As everyone headed that way Akahoe walked up to Lewis.
“I’ll miss you.” Lewis said.
“I come with you?”
“What about your parents?”
“Dead, long ago.”
Akahoe had been orphaned.
“Sure, follow me. We might even find you a foster home in Spain.”
Akahoe smiled and they walked across the shoreline.
They rowed out Lewis getting one last look at the land they had just explored. He was the only one who knew that it was not India. He thought of a name. America.

The Creature
Deep down in Alaska lurks a killing monster named big blue of the lake.
Deep in Alaska are scientists who search for plants that can change people’s lives. They go through harsh weather and death-defying plants and animals. They saw many different animals, insects, and plants along the journey. They ran up upon one of the most biggest and dangerous bug in Alaska. They didn’t do anything to it because they didn’t want to get extremely hurt or even death. They went through rivers and lakes on boats. They saw eagles soring across the light blue sky with their babies. Spiders lay patiently on their web waiting for the next victim to get cot on the giant web of buity. That night they set their tents and a fire.
Snakes and bugs crawl along the path on the Alaska floor. They walked along the fog from the night coldness. Through the day the fog cleared and they looked to find something but had no success in the morning. The fog was completely gone by noon. And they found many things but not what they were looking for. They had 2 months leafed till they had to come back from Alaska. By the next morning they still had found nothing.
The mouth was about over and nothing special had been found forth the days got shorter and the jungle got deeper as the animals gazed on the path to the lake and that lake was called: python scratch. There animals disappear randomly from the lake but yet the water is silent. They creped through the lake. The wate
r got deeper until it was up to their necks. Fish swirled around them as they walked through the neck deep water then someone frizzed and said something was under him and it was as big as a python.
He tried to get it as it moved on but he couldn’t then he saw it and it was a python swimming in the dark green water. Fish swam smoothly through the water. They walked to the other side. The night came fast and they were dry from the time they got to the place they were at. The morning came faster and fog scattered through the forest. Animals were all around the tents. The animals roamed away and they set off looking. They had found something that they had not ever seen they took tests on the plant and took it with them on the way out of the jungle.
They arrived at deep and dark lake. Where snakes are everywhere and the most deadly insects lurk look for it next kill. They prepared to go across. When the where across they started to set camp. The next day they will start to pack up and go back to the lab in California.
They camped close to the lake that night. Through the night they heard the water crooking nonstop the whole night then it just stopped out of nowhere. The night past slowly as it got lighter. The morning came their eyes had purple marks under them because they couldn’t get any sleep till the crooking stopped.
After that discovery they were pumped up to see what it would be or do.
They were packing up when a big noises burst in their ears. Could it have been something in the jungle, a bomb, someone shooting a gun, or trees falling? They got dun packing and set the bags it the car.
They drove for miles and miles and reached Bone Lake! They tried to hit the brakes but it was no use. The jeep started to sink they got out of the car coming face to face with a big snake looking thing! It was bleary so they didn’t know what it was. They tried to swim to the surface but the horrible thing then happened the men were gone not a single sign of them.
20 years later.
The river dried out and scientists were studying the area and found bones of a mysteries creature.

The Great Dragon's Cave
On a hot summer day of August, a boy went on a hike in the forest. He loved to until one day when a weird voice that said:
''Get out, get out now or bad things will happen.''
The boy froze and looked around. There was nothing to be in site of the boy. Then he heard the voice again. He was scared, really scared. Then he heard cracks and he heard the voice again, and again.
"Why, why do you want me to go?” The boy asked.
The voice didn't answer.
He stared at the trees and said: ‘’why won’t you talk me?’’
Then he saw a cave that looked as if someone took black paint and dumped it there.
When he got in, over 1,000 bats flew out. He ducked quickly as the bats flew above him.
He went more through the cave it was quiet … very quiet. As the boy got more into the cave it had been like night with no stars or a moon in the sky. The boy already went 1 mile through the cave as dark blue water dripped on his shirt.
It was so dark that if he did not have his torch, he wouldn’t see his hand in front of his face.
When he got deeper in the cave it felt colder, denser, and the smell was so horrible it made his nose wrinkle as the stench covered him. It smelt if smoke was everywhere. He thought it was his torch. But when he went even deeper into the blackness he saw from the bottom of the cave smoke had been coming from he thought that was why he had smelt the horrible snitch. Then, the smoke dropped very quickly.
He wondered.
He saw skeletons full of bugs and rats trying to eat the remains of flesh. He jumped away thinking what they were there for as the rats ran away.
Then he saw a tail coming from a dark passage and a weird looking one. He hid behind a rock attaching from the floor to the ground. He could see what that tail. Thoughts raced through his head wondering what it could be.
Then he saw fire come bursting from where the tail was and saw a very creepy face and ran. A dragon flew out of the cave the boy tripped on a stick that fell from a tree close by and saw the dragon. The dragon was breathing red fire.
More dragons came out; a fire dragon went flying out of the cave. Then, a water dragon and an air dragon and all kinds of dragons flew out of the cave. The boy felt the violent moving wind over his back. Then the earth dragon made a big roar like thunder released from the sky of a stormy day and all of the dragons went right in the cave and the boy hollowed along with his ears still vibrating from what seemed as thunder. The earth dragon was very old for a dragon. So he went to the earth dragon for help.
Then he said ‘’I was told to leave the forest for some rezone and I want to know why’’.
Then the dragon said ‘’well you have to find out yourself’’.
He recognized that voice from somewhere he said ‘’I feel like I have heard you before’’
The dragon said ‘’and where do you think you heard me.’’
The boy said ‘’in the forest when I was walking,’’ ‘’but I didn’t see anyone.’’
‘’So you came to my palace?’’
‘’No.’’
‘’Thank the lord that you did’’.
‘’Why’’?
‘’Have you ever seen what you walk on’’?
‘’Yes.’’
‘’What?’’
‘’Mostly Sticks and dead leaves.’’
‘’Well what kind or dragon am I?’’
‘’You’re an earth dragon.’’
‘’So when you step on dead leaves and sticks I can fill it.’’
‘’So now you know why.’’ ‘’So I am going to say this one last time,’’ ‘’get out know or I will haunt you for the rest of our life’’. ‘’What will happen if I don’t get out?’’
‘’Then I will eat you for dinner.’’ ‘’So I will put you with my collection of bones on that rock over there were my skulls of people who didn’t get out. And you skull will be on that rock with all the others.’’
The boy said: ‘’you know what I think I will just leave. Because I don’t want my skull on your rock.’’
So the boy left the cave and his mom said ‘’why it has taken you 2 hours to get back. Usually it takes you about 20-30 minutes to get home.’’ Then he told his mom all he had done on his hike. And why it took him 2 hours to get home. ‘’The mom said you have a good imagination my boy . for a boy like you.’’
That night he had sworn he had seen a light in the cave but this time the cave was a lot more different and it was over a boiling thing of lava so the boy went back in his pajamas and a Lantern. He went into the cave and ducked, but no bats flew out of the cave
"Why didn’t any bats come out like last time they should right about now?’’ he said in a whispering voice to himself.
He heard a cry and a big bang. He wondered into the cave scared as can be. He looked all around him looking for the earth dragon.
He heard an even bigger bang and went further in the cave. He was extremely scared. He went deeper and deeper into the cave. He had then seen the dragon. But this time the earth dragon was crying for some reason. He walked closer to the dragon. He said to the dragon why are you crying.
Then the dragon said ‘’have you seen what is in the forest ground.’’
‘’Then it just turned to him.’’ The dragon said.
‘’Didn’t I tell you that you were never supposed to come back.’’
‘’The boy said y …yes’’ in a shivering voice.
The dragon said ‘‘so I guess you want your skull with the rest of them.’’
‘‘The boy said n …no’’ in a scared and shivering voice.
The dragon said ‘‘then why did you come back to the cave.’’
The boy said ‘’because I saw a light in the cave and wanted to find out what
it was.’’
‘‘What light", the dragon said.
‘’The light in this cave the boy said.’’
‘’There was no light that I have seen in this cave.’’
‘’Then why did I see a light and not you?’’ The boy said.
‘’The dragon had a suggestion for the light’’ and he said ‘’does anyone or anything want you dead.’’
The boy said ‘’well there is this snake called the light snake’’. ‘’Well then that is problem could be him.
The boy said ‘’how that can’t be.’’
‘’Well the light snake came into the cave and lit up and it made you want to come back to the cave.’’
‘’Then were can the snake be.’’
‘’Back In the forest," replied the dragon.
The dragon said ‘’sshhuuuuu for a minute’’ then, the boy and the dragon heard cracking noses in the forest.
Then the dragon screamed loudly in the wind and it cared through the tree tops of the dark forest. Birds went flying from the trees.
The boy said what, what it is in a loud voice the boy said.
The light snake had bit the ground because the snake knew that when something is put in the ground he makes a big roar in the tree tops. The snake knows that because when the people put things in the ground he is in the cave because he lives there and he sees the dragon roar.
The dragons said to the boy kill me now before someone else sticks something in the ground or more like in me.
The boy said ‘’why do you want me to kill you.’’ ‘’I would never do that to you if my life depended on it’’
‘’Hurry’’ the dragon said ‘’do it now before I do it myself.’’
‘’No don’t do it,’’ the boy said.
The dragon said ‘’go to the hole over there and there are some weapons in the hole’’. ‘’Get one and throw it at me.’’
So the boy did what the dragon said and got a weapon. But he didn’t throw the weapon he just held it in his hands and didn’t do anything at all.
The dragon said ‘’do it now before I just do it in the loudest’’ voice as he had.
The dragons claws came out he was about to do it but I said something that made him stop doing what he was about to do.
The said something so surprising that the dragon stopped and listened to the boy. The boy said ‘’I love you!!!’’
The dragon’s claws went down then the dragon screamed and his claws came out as fast as he could and he killed himself.
