Read Tears Of Angels Page 3

Paul stepped forward. “You don’t realize but you are no different than your father.”

Drago looked at him in shock. No one had dared to speak to him this way, and he wouldn’t tolerate it either. He pulled out his gun and was about to pull the trigger when Paul pulling out his own gun fired first. The bullet hit Drago and drilled through his heart killing him instantly. Before Paul could move further, a bullet from Rohan pierced through his chest and he fell to the floor.

Rohan looked around but Dr. Sen had vanished. Suddenly he felt something sharp piercing his back, as he slowly turned around Dr. Sen took another stab at him and then another and kept stabbing him in the stomach until he collapsed in a heap on the floor. Dr. Sen ran to Paul and held his hand as he wriggled in pain.

“We did it, we stopped them,” Paul said in a whisper.

“Yes we did, yes we did, Paul.”

Lee lay in his bed, restlessly waiting for his father to tell him the bed time story.

Ron stood in front of her, head bent down and tears rolled down his cheek.

“I don’t know what to say to you right now and everything happened so fast that it will take me some time to figure it out.” He looked around and wiped his tears. “I just hope you forgive me, I won’t cry as I promised.” He knelt down and murmured a silent prayer with closed wet eyes.

“I’m sorry for your loss Dr. Sen,” Aryan said. They were in his car waiting for Ron.

“Life’s hard sometimes Inspector. When we make mistakes we lose some things permanently. They don’t come back.” He looked at his son placing the flower on his mother’s grave, “Martha had to pay the price.”

“It’s always our dear ones who pay the price, Dr. Sen.”

“Yes. I must be punished.” Dr. Sen extended his hands to Aryan to be handcuffed.

Aryan looked at him, “Our supreme judge doesn’t need a court, Dr. Sen. Karma does it for him. I won’t arrest you for Ron’s sake. Your son needs you. We don’t want another Drago in the society.”

Dr. Sen nodded his head and burst out crying, mumbling his wife’s name over and over again. “I’m so sorry Martha.”

Ron reached the car and turned to look back one more time. There at a distance he spotted a lady in white dress smiling at him.

  He smiled back, “Goodbye, mother.”
