I rushed out and found Nicole laying on the sidewalk a deep gash in her leg and blood flowing freely. I wasn't worried she might die, for some reason the thought of her dying didn't even cross my mind.
I reached down and picked her up holding her tight against my breast.
“Come on baby girl momma has you now,” I said.
She opened her eyes and smiled at me.
“Momma Jackie pushed me,” Nicole said.
“That wasn't a very nice of him was it? I'll have a talk with Jackie's momma and see if we can't get him to stop,” I said.
“I could bite him then he wouldn't push me no more,” Nicole said.
“You know I don't like biting,” I said.
“I know momma, but it hurts when he pushes me down,” Nicole said.
“I know my little angel, it hurts me too,” I said.
