Read The Keys to Destruction Page 8

Having a peculiar resilience to the plague, Cradle lastly goes up against the promised protector, Lord Vasuki, who is no match for this Naga master of combat.

Through our efforts we’re granted a prize by the generous and grateful King Saul. He displays exceptional favor toward me. The reward I’m given involves a fateful decision. Bestowed is the use of the urn, to challenge the genie’s riddle. This will be a true test, as I was unable to retain Rechelle’s knowledge, and I am without the advancement of my grains that would offer a favorable lead. The broad knowledge imparted by my adopted father, Scott, is what aids to decipher the hieroglyphs. Succeeding, I advance to the next trial.

My first request is to be of Djinn heritage, knowing by the hieroglyph’s instructions that once my 3 requests are spent, the Jinni will attempt to claim my eternal essence. Sadly this removes my soul, granting my genie (Janni) success in its duty. I’m sealed within the sarcophagus. Here my cold-blooded brothers will see to it that I remain a prisoner. My only hope is that the connection Maser and I share is enough to draw him to me.

Now I am Shell, last of a diminished line of Djinn, and the current dweller of the urn. I discern the origin of my voracious hunger. There is emptiness in my life I incessantly long to fulfill, an instinct ingrained from family roots. In this realm of immortality I’m unable to accomplish what I long to perform--to tear out the core of my throat.

I am constantly seeking reader insight to better a story, and strengthen my growth as a writer. Let me know if you would like to be among a list of supporters, which I will be offering discounted access to, for future publications. My end goal is have a complete novel, written in the same style of first person, which you see here in this current manuscript.

This future story just mentioned will be separate from The Keys to Destruction. I would be happy to send out e-mails for those hoping to be informed of the launch of new stories. Otherwise you can add me as a favorite author and check back weekly, as this is how often I hope to offer an additional title.

Lastly please leave a review of the full content you’ve read. A great deal of time has been spent working on each e-book. I would appreciate your positive review and a similar rating.

  Thank You!

Questions & Answers for The Keys to Destruction. (Spoilers if you have not read the story:)

Q: If Prophecy is Naga, why didn’t he learn personal arts per Rechelle’s explanation?

A: Prophecy is a product of his environment. Once he leaves Liberty and spends time in another era, where Sivil begins to accelerate, Prophecy’s grains minutely activate and develop at a very gradual level due to his age of maturity.

Q: In the second paragraph of the first page is the statement “5 eras reside in the way of our journey.” What are these 5 eras?

A: 1) Realm of Dead Humans (advanced world of Djinn). 2) Stelron (world of machines). 3) Flora (world of plants). 4) Virus (a world sickened by bioengineered attack). 5) Era of Old (Solomon’s era) which contains the land of naught. The land of naught is an era that Rechelle creates as an entranceway. It is a go between, bridging The Era of Old with Hahventshay (The Dragon Realm) and the land of forgotten (Pandora). The guardian informs Prophecy from the land of naught that Prophecy must travel to Pandora for the inoculation to the plague he carries.

Q: If there is a 1 out of 10 chance that a soul will retain information from Real Lives when it is born, how is it that both Shellie and Scottie are able to overcome such difficult odds?

A: Scott is a spiritual blessing, birthed through a human surrogate. In Naga birth there is a 99% chance of the information retaining. Because Rechelle is Naga, Shellie is born as such.

Q: How did the Djinn cross over to the Age of Old, and what took them so long?

A: There are several theories as to how this happened. One is that Rechelle was maintaining Saul’s essence. When she expired into eternal cremation, this act broke the stipulation between Janni (Sami as Djinn) and Saul. The other possibility is that Cradle found a way to open the gateway.

  Q: What unanswered questions remain?

A: How is it that Maser or Prophecy were misled into believing they were on a quest for Solomon’s essence? What was Saul’s second and third wish? What are Prophecy’s 3 different grain abilities? Besides manipulation, what are Sivil’s other abilities? Are there other types of Djinn?

Q: Do you have a question you wish to add?

A: Submit it to [email protected]
