Read The Silver Seals - Skylar Page 12

Chapter 12

I woke up in my bed. The room was dark. The lights were off and the curtain closed. I got up and changed into some clean clothes. I couldn't find any clean shirts, so I just threw on some pants.

"Skylar seems to be doing fine. His brothers are ok. Sure thing Dr. Blake," I heard my mom say. "At four, okay. Bye."

"Hey, Mom," I said as I entered the kitchen. "What were you talking to Dr. Blake about?"

"Well, he wanted me to bring the three of you in for a check-up," she said. "After everything you three went through, he wants to make sure that you're ok."

"Oh, Sky," I heard Nate say. "There you are." He handed me a shirt and my socks and shoes.

"Dude, we need to head over to Zac's house," Nick said. I quickly put on my socks and shoes. "Bye Mom. We'll catch you later." They ushered me out of the house before anymore could be said about a doctor's appointment.

"I owe ya'll one," I said as we walked to Zac's.

"Don't mention it," Nate said. "But the three of us do need to have a meeting."

  "About?" I asked.

  "At Zac's," Nick said.

I sat in the garage at Zac's. I was busy doing some last minute fixes to my latest project. I was extremely excited to show it off. I'd locked myself in the basement for two weeks. Zac brought me sandwiches and pulled out the bed I had installed. I also had a shower system in there. I had the intercom on so I could hear everything going on in the living room.

"What's taking Sky so long?" Mason asked.

"I don't know but I do know that I haven't seen him since he locked himself in there," Robyn complained.

"What's so great that the three of them had rushed us over here for?" Lily asked. I smiled. I hoped they would enjoy what we were doing. I opened the door.

  "Guys, you ready?" I asked.

"Yeah, coming," Nick said. He hurried down with three clothing gift boxes. Nate carried the three jewelry boxes.

"Alright," Nate said. "Here I hope you like these." He handed them each a jewelry box. When they opened it up, there was a small silver pin with our emblem on it.

  "What's this for?" Lily asked.

"Well, the three of us got to together and decided that we wanted ya'll to officially become a Silver Seal," I said. "Do you want to be one?"

Mason's face broke into a smile. "Of course I'd join you three." The girls quickly agreed too. Nick handed them their boxes. Inside was a suit for each of them. Robin got purple, Lily got pink, and Mason got yellow.

  "Who made these?" Lily asked.

"I did," Nick said. "I'm the only one who can sew."

"Though, I did make one of the gloves," I said. "It's a watch with some cool stuff added in. Now, this is what I've locked myself up for two weeks to work on." I led them down to the garage. "Check this out." I pressed a button and the three other bikes I'd been working on came down. They were identical to the ones we had.

"These are the exact same ones as ours," Nate said.

"Uh, no," I said. "I managed to make it to where you can ride it around anytime because they can change colors." I walked up to it pressed a button and it turned blue. "This one's mine. I programmed each bike to have four different colors, black, white, silver, and the color of our suit. Also, you can only ride your bike. It has a finger print scanner on the handle. If someone else tried to get on your bike it would lock up and shock them."

"You and shocking people," Lily said rolling her eyes.

I shrugged my shoulders and said, "Kinda my thing. Anyway, it also has a GPS that is connected with this." I handed them each a Bluetooth headset. "Also, it has all of our numbers preprogrammed. So, what do you guys think?"

"Wait, you guys were serious about this whole superhero thing?" Mason asked.

"Yeah," Nate said. "We are. Also, feel free to crash here anytime, just don't make the place a mess." They shook their heads.

Robyn and I headed outside. "So, I get purple?"

"Yeah, didn't you know the more beautiful the snake, the more deadly it is?" I asked her. I put my hands on her hips.

"So I'm a snake now?" she asked.

"Yeah, the most beautiful one of all," I said. "If you don't like Python, you could always become Viper."

"I’ll think about it," she said as she kissed me.
