“Damn! What was that!” screamed O’Leary.

  “It looks like there’s a fight on deck,” the radio squawked.

  O’Leary heard the sound of tires squealing.

  “Target Kingpin is bugging out!” Air One reported as O’Leary caught a fleeting glance of the cars changing directions and speeding away.

  “Assault Teams One and Two move in now! Move! Move! Move!” O’Leary yelled into the microphone. Instantly the pair of fifteen-foot police boats darted into the river from their hiding places one hundred yards up and down stream of the marina. Powerful spot lights on the boats lit up the entire river as they raced from both directions toward Target One.
