  The club and those

  Were the strokes.”

  “Canadian Geese”

  “Canada geese

  Swimming with there

  Spirited goslings

  Bobbing up and down

  Romantic yellowish

  Coloration tagging

  After their mother

  As they swim to shore

  Waggling and ruffling

  There plumages

  Into the warm sun.”

  “Sparrows”

  “Spotted sparrows

  Nesting there young

  Darlings, nurturing them

  For another dawn

  This coming spring

  Time season.”

  “Hard Work”

  “I lived on a farm

  Took a lot of hard work

  And sweat, and pride

  To accomplish abundance

  Of harvest in everyday life.

  You take pride in your work

  To accomplish your self-esteem

  And self-worth

  There is so much to be

  Grateful for thanking my

  Higher power for all the

  Good works and blessing

  He has done for me and

  Others only through the

  Grace of my higher power

  We will accomplish our

  Everyday harvests.”

  “Strolling”

  “On clear night

  The stars and moon

  Lighted up the universe

  So I wonder lusted on

  An old farm road seeing

  God’s creation sparkled

  Before my eyes I followed

  The lighted road to

  Recovery from all of my fears

  And tribulations

  The lighted road kept me

  From devastation and

  Gave me hope and courage

  Confidence to tackle

  Any escapade of evil

  That wants to give me

  Darken road.

  Following the lighted road

  Protected me from falling

  Into darkness, despair,

  And loneliness, in my life.”

  “Water Fowl”

  “One autumn day

  Walking around

  Wooded pond

  Ascending woodies

  Descending swirling

  Sweeping over the

  Murk slue showing

  The wildest performance

  Of nature’s presentation

  I ever seen,”

  “Deer”

  “White tailed deer

  Bold and mighty warriors

  Roaming vast glens

  Showing harmony in there

  Travel hoofs molded

  Scenic prints on rain soaked

  Deer trails leaving

  Legend that was

  Once traveled.”

  “Past”

  “Old farm house

  Where I grew up

  Gave memories

  Of a legend that

  Was once there

  Passed on stories

  To my friends had

  Few laughs and drink

  Giving them a grand view

  How it was back then.”

  “Beauty”

  “I have been released

  From the clutches of

  Pain that held me very

  Tight. Freedom bell rang

  Within my heart seeing

  Life’s beautiful treasures

  Sparkle before my eyes

  Now my flower is blooming

  In wondrous beauty

  Now I, can enjoy fun with my

  Friends being free

  What a wonderful feeling

  To cherish in your heart.”

  “Farewell”

  “Glad I met you

  Goodbye for now

  Hope we will run

  Into our ware abouts

  Have same meaning

  As before, hoping smiles

  Being us closer together.”

  “Pain”

  “For many years

  Of hard knocks

  My talent never

  Came about

  I was hidden

  From the alcohol

  That poured down

  My throat now the

  Poison had gone

  Leaving pain to

  Flurry on making

  Me a success in

  One life time.”

  “Sobriety”

  “Farming your sobriety

  You are going to run

  Into people you don’t

  Care for

  You still have to treat

  Them with kindness, love

  Thy neighbor as thyself

  And respect will come

  Your way even in alcoholics

  Anonymous we pick and choose

  To be our friends and still

  Be humble to those you really

  Don’t care for

  To believe in time your

  Has ability will make

  Friends you don’t care about.”

  “Days of Misery”

  “I was sick and tired

  Of being sick and tired

  I turned my life over to

  The care of God

  His power and direction

  Lead me to the fellowship

  Of alcoholics anonymous

  It took an inventory

  Every day in doing so

  It kept me to have good

  Attitude and try to be grateful

  Thanking the good lord

  For my sobriety and all his

  Blessings and for another

  Dawn to serve him.

  In doing so it sprung a new

  Person in alcoholics anonymous

  Then I, gained a balance

  Of play and fun and

  Times to be serious.”

  “Rain”

  “I have been

  Caught into

  Shower of rain

  No dawning light

  For seen, hoping

  To the rains will stop

  And peace opens

  Your window for

  Happier days.”

  “Goodbye”

  “Farewell for now

  Wishing you well

  Hope we meet

  Again some how

  With smiling faces

  Hoping our friendship

  Will never depart

  From us.”

  “Darkness”

  “One fall evening

  I strolled on a moon

  Lighted journey

  Twilight leading

  Our way leaving

  Evil spirits lying

  To re-stand and not

  Dawn upon us

  Courting on a honeymoon.”

  “Change of Scenery”

  “Went on a scenic ride

  Into Irish country sides

  Where rolling green valleys

  Proper with fields

  That rolls on portraying

  Work man ship by farm

  Dwellers to taking so

  Much pride in their work.”

  “Time”

  “There comes a time

  For me to retire

  And enjoy, life’s most

  Beautiful treasures

  And love, will venture

  My way.”

  “Cardinals”

  “Falling in love

  Perching on tree branch

  Courting each other

  Square dancing colorful

  Stage show, romancing

  God’s creation of true

  Lovers showing fame

  Into the vast wilderness.”

  “Birds”

  “On a May afternoon

  War blessing me

  Songs echoing over

  The vast frontier

  Having a mer
ry good time

  This spring time season.”

  “Universe”

  “Strolling through

  The vast darkness seeing God’s beautiful

  Creation twinkling

  So bright and wonderful

  Honking and inspiration

  Of a planet so much

  Inspired to man.”

  “Tree’s”

  “Lonesome weltered

  Trees went through

  Many storms fought

  Hello a battle lost

  Their beauty along

  The years hoping

  One day romance

  Will bring a better

  Younger look to a

  Wrinkling old loners.”

  “Darkness”

  “The sword kept

  Me in the dark shadows

  Of life, it scared people

  Away from me

  That wanted to help me.

  Throwing to shield

  And sword away

  Then people came

  Into my life

  And gave me the

  Hugs hope and love

  That I needed

  So desperately in my life.”

  “Surrender”

  “I surrendered myself

  To a system that

  Has more power

  Than me, so go

  Along in whatever

  They command

  Maybe liberty will score.”

  “Anxiety”

  “Anxiety tied me

  To the whipping post

  No escaping from the slayer that slayed me

  So terribly

  Anxiety felt like

  Whip torturing me

  And no escape from

  The anxiety and pain.

  The slayer is no more

  Putting pain on me

  Change my way of thinking

  On situations that

  Flares up, and make

  Honest sincere effort

  And talk to somebody

  You trust, after that

  Throw the negative feelings

  On the waste basket

  And leave them there

  And go with your life.”

  “God’s Gift”

  “God gave me garden that I am grateful for

  His blessing came

  Down like rain

  Washing away

  The decay and

  Replenishing my

  He are and soul

  The rains sprung

  My true happiness

  I never had before

  To journey my life

  Abound antley in

  God’s way to show

  Happy heart to someone

  With a sad heart

  That the rain can

  Replenish his heart

  To the rest of the world.”

  “Darkness”

  “I feel down into

  The pit of darkness

  With my eternal pleasures

  I went to God he had

  The power greater than

  Myself to rest tore me

  To sanity

  God pulled me out of the

  Pit of darkness

  Then, I could see the light

  Glow at the end of the tunnel.”

  “Fear”

  “Fear would make

  Me stare and feel

  Insecure around people

  Fear kept me in my own

  Little world and stopped

  Me from growing

  Emotionally and spiritually.”

  “Rocky Mountains”

  “Me and my friend

  We’re driving along

  The Rocky Mountains

  Came upon, some elk

  Those mighty warriors

  Stalking the glens

  With their antlers

  Glistening into the

  Sunlight. We stopped

  Walked around

  The mountain ranges

  You could hear the serenity

  It was a very peaceful time

  And peace of mind.

  Song birds singing melodies

  The wind howling through

  The pines as we journey

  Up the mountain ranges

  We ran into this stream

  The water was clear and cold

  I was thirsty took a drink

  From the stream. In the fall time geese flying

  With glee, their wings whistling

  And parading over us heading

  For their promise land

  Where ever it maybe.”

  “Challenge”

  “Rowing my boat

  Through life’s perils

  Hitting against

  Tolling swells

  Smashing on

  The starboard bow

  Took every bit

  Of power until

  Could not oar

  No more, leaving

  The destiny unfinished.”

  “Loneliness”

  “I would wonder lust

  Into the forest

  And listen to

  Song birds singing

  Welcome songs

  Enchanting harmony

  Along the wilderness front

  Sending me serenity and

  Peace of mind and my

  Loneliness faded away.”

  “Seen the Light”

  “Since my fears

  Are gone I, have

  Peace of mind and joy.

  Went on a walk on a,

  Warm sun shining day

  In an autumn seeing

  God’s creation gleaming

  Wonderful fall colors

  Gave me serenity

  Flowing within my heart

  As I walk into the

  Community sharing

  My happiness with

  The town’s people.”

  “Broken Home”

  “Glass has broken

  The meaning has gone

  Hoping someday my

  Family will unite back

  With me and have

  Understanding among us

  Leaving sadness

  Behind us, so happiness

  Taking over, leaves love

  To flow and grow

  In our lives.”

  “Farewell”

  “Beautiful song birds

  That echoed melodies

  Sending joy to me this

  Summer season now

  Comes a time of season

  When they flock together

  Before the chill of

  The winter comes

  Pushing them off there

  Nesting grounds

  They call one another

  For farewell hoping we

  Will see each other again.”

  “Eagle”

  “Soaring into air currents

  Gliding swiftly over

  Snowy mountain peaks

  Showing honor and romance

  Along mountain ranges

  Suddenly the eagle spots rodent

  Eagle screaming war cries

  Jet streaming from the heavens

  Swooping his prey with his

  Sharp claws hurling

  Back to his domain.”

  “Promises”

  “There was a lot

  Of broken promises

  In my childhood years

  That left me hanging

  In disappointment and

  Frustration, my hopes

  Were up, and then another

  Promise broke I fell

  Down with a broken heart.”

  “Comrade”

  “The cruel side of me

  Has shown, know my heart

  Is growing strong into

  Loving person, healing

  From those tragedies

  I had in one life time.

  Some scars, will remain

  Reminding an old solider


  During his last battle.”

  “Castles”

  “I lived in a small

  Town, castles founding

  On frontier soil

  Glorifies heritage

  Into our sovereign

  Town, wagons flurry

  Over the, brook bridge

  To their destines abroad.
